Problem in North America is that the car would sit awkwardly between the Versa Note and the Sentra. So, I suppose that would make it an actual compact car, which might be a smart move for Nissan. Cut at the Civic and Corolla while they're on the knees and go straight for the Ford jugular. Jam that 1.6T and the six-speed manual in there from the Juke. Sell it to me for $20k out the door. Kids would come knocking. They just, uh, have to do it.

The car is NOT going to be sold in North American markets.... for obvious reasons.
 
I'm pretty sure that won't be released in America.

*sigh

We'll probably get yet another Juke Nismo thing instead of this.
 
This made me laugh when I thought about this car (part of the Nissan LMP1 announcement)

The front of the car looks ok the back looks dreadful, In the past 16 years ive had the displeasure of owning a couple of Nissans and drove a few different ones...They all tend to be as dull as dishwater but reliable. The 350z & GTR being the exceptions. I expect the Pulsar to be as dull as dishwater.

That looks OK, to be honest. Nothing amazing, but overall, it looks pleasant. I'm not sure how you can call it "polarising" though, there isn't really enough about it to have a strong opinion either way.
 
Slap on 1.6 turbo, call it Pulsar GTi. Make hotter version, add AWD and R to the badge and for gods sake keep it manual, and buyers will come. THEN, they can toy around with the idea of souped up Nismo-version.

They already have a Turbo version called ST-L(Basic) and SSS(kitted up) in OZ, both come with a short shift 6 speed Manual.

It's probably more likely to go head to head with its stable-mate the RenaultSport Megane 275 Trophy.
 
The A45 AMG is an anomaly. It's a £40k car in a £25-30k segment. It maybe quick, but it doesn't have the handling to match the best hot-hatches.
