Ok, we have a TXR0 thread, so why not an official TXR3 thread? I'll start us off.

What car did you start off with?

RX7 FC3S

What percent done are you so far?

Around 3-4% for me

What parts do you have for you current car so far?

I have engine tune lvl.1 and exhaust 1.

What other cars do you have?

None, Just my FC3s.

Did you know that if you press [SELECT] button during a race, it raises your boost pressure? If not, try it! But be careful! It will make your oil and water pressure raise fairly quickly which leads to your car smoking and over heating.

If you have any questions, please ask! I'll try my best to answer them. If I can't answer them, then I'm sure that some other TXR3 junkie will!
 
Alright, he are some updates.

My FC3S now has 245PS.
I'm around 20% done with Tokyo. (I think the % is just for the current city you are in?)
I have engine lvl. 2, muffler 1, and cooling lvl. 1.
I have lvl. 1 Transmission, Clutch, Suspension, and Brakes.
I have the HG Tires on front/rear.
Stock aero parts (They're too damn expensive!!) except for the Type-5 Spoiler. I took it off because it ads 15kg/s though.
I have Type-1 headlight design with Type-2 color and Type-1 tail light color.

The only actualy "cheat" I've seen was the one about using more Boost that I put in Post #1. Btt that's not really a cheat.
 
You can buy name brand wheels (Enkie, 5Zigen, Hart etc...) but I don't think it affects the wheel size. I'll check in a few minutes.

BTW: I just bought a Carbon Fiber front and rear bumper. A little over 8,000 a piece.

These? No. They don't say the names of the wheels either.

Also, once you buy new wheels, and you go to equip them, you can choose to increase the wheel size by 1 or 2 inches. This may grow as you progress through the game though.
 
HUGE UPDATE!

I just beat the city if Tokyo and I moved on to Nagoya!!! Something interesting that I noticed: when i was racing the boss "Blood Hound" the splash of the water coming off of my tires was blood red. I thought this was a neat little effect. :)

The beginning of this game is a little slow, I was getting extremely bored, I almost put it down after the first hour, but then it gets better, but I can't believe the outrageous prices of the body kits. They are just ridiculous.

I have this game and was just wondering whats so bad about having your water and oil temps go up? I know it will slow your car down but can you blow your engine or break any parts? I've also noticed the price of my car goes down as I race, I know the miles bring it down but what about driving on high temps?

Also, in the tuning, you can put your boost up. I tried this and didn't help my times in the 400m at all so does this do anything?

I'm pretty sure that driving with the water and oil temps up will do nothing more than make your car smoke and slow you down a little. Also, I doubt that the price goes down due to driving with elevated oil/water temps.


In order to use the extra BOOST, you have to press and hold the
[SELECT] button while accelerating. Be carful though as it will elevate your oil/water temps very quickly. Also, the boost only works during a battle in Quest Mode.
 
you dont have to hold the select button, just press it once and the boost will increase, press it again and it'll go back to normal. this can only be done during a race w/ another oponent tho, you cant use it in the 400m

Ma n im glad im not the only one who is hooked on this game right now.

I started with the trueno sprinter 3 door gt apex
Fully modded it still only has 165 hp

and i started in osaka and beat every one but the last 3 lancers of the no loser group and 2 wanderers

Then i bought the R 32 skyline and whipped the rest of em in osaka

Now my R32 has 1056 miles on it and i have beat osaka nagoya and tokyo workin on my second round in nagoya right now .I am at 64%

My R32 has level 7 engine
level 5 muffler
level 5 cooling
level 3 trans
level 5 clutch
level 3 suspension
level 5 brakes
level 4 reinforce
level 4 weight down

It has carbon fiber front bumper, hood ,side skirts ,mirrors ,rear bumper ,wing,grille and tail light covers

Its hp is 556 and i have had it at 192.61 MPH ,longest win combo in it is 17 right now. Hardest opponent was the Riddx Supra that thing is fast :mad:

Level 7 engine? I'm guessing you don't have to get 1850 miles on your car to buy the lev.7 engine anymore?

Is lev.7 the highest in TXR 3??
