The One Track That You Would Delete In GT5?

I don't want them to remove it, just to use it less in the campaign.

I totally agree, it should not be removed as it seemed to be a popular track for drifters and so.
But yes, less often in seasonals and *-spec races 👍

It would be SSR7, because it is very much a redundant course now, in my opinion.

How is it redundant? Its not only a drag track.

Cape Ring would be my top choice, then the Nurburgring. Never liked any of those tracks.

Nurburgring. That track is as skinny as a sidewalk. It's only good for time trials.

Ill say it again its not only a drag track I have had some great normal races on it.

Before Route X was released as DLC, the main course used for drag racing and top speed tests was SSR7, from my experience. I certainly used it for both purposes offline and online, too. But when Route X came along, I felt SSR7 was redundant because for drag racing and top speed tests, there was now a better option. I don't use it many times for actual racing because of it's length and tediousness, so now I don't drive on it at all anymore. That is why I think it isn't really needed in GT5.

I never believe in removing content I try when I get time to race on all the courses.

This comment makes my brain get a run up into the front of my skull, :repeat action 98,577 times:

Only people who would agree to this are the clowns whom can't race properly, or actually hold any form of pace on a super speedway to hang with a pack,

I can have this opinion as I won the online N24 with 16 hours of rain and through the night, you wouldn't know the fun in terror if it ripped your ears off!

Um...definitely London. I've never had luck on that track. Either I miscalculate a corner, go to wide and hit the wall, or I go too inside and hit the wall, causing a spinout. That track and me do not agree.

Which one track would you 'delete' in Gran Turismo 5?

None. Gran Turismo needs all of the tracks that it has to offer at its disposal. To delete them or suggest otherwise is plain stupid

Starting with me, I would get rid of Tokyo R246. I have never liked the track at
all in GT5 nor any other of the Gran Turismo games.

Tokyo was one of the first tracks I raced on back when I played GT Concept. I like it as it's a relatively fast track (lots of straights) and it has moveable obstacles (e.g. Tyres, tempoary barriers, etc)-something that should be seen more often :). I mean, imagine the tyre wall you crashed into actually moving!

Personally, the tracks I've driven on the least are SSR7 and SSRX, mainly due to their massive distance-not saying that I want them removed though :sly:.

It's one track you would delete, not one track you don't like. Tsukuba is a very popular and significant track.

But it does make sense.
You wouldn't delete a track you liked would you?

Anyways, I would delete the version GT5 has of High Speed Ring, I liked the one GT1 alot better.

You wouldn't delete it just because you don't like it either. You have to take in account of everyone else. I'm assuming this thread is aimed towards unpopular/unneccesary tracks.

Since it is "The One Track That You Would Delete In GT5?", what I take from that is: for an individual, which track he doesn't like, to the point that he barely drives in it and because of that he would would delete, as in, what track one doesn't want in the game.
I'm pretty sure it's not to take anyone else into account.

This thread might be aimed towards unpopular tracks, but for in a poll kind of way. People say the tracks they don't like, and with that, the most unpopular tracks are presented. Again, just personal opinions, no need to take into account of everyone else.

Just because someone else likes a track, doesn't mean you wouldn't mind deleting it if you don't like it.

At least I believe that this is what this thread is about?

3/4 of the city maps.. I hate them

oh and Mount Eiger or whatever. I dread those sharp turns every single lap.

No need to get rid of any of them. But if I had to choose, I would go with SSR5. I don't know why I never liked it. I prefer Clubman Stage or SSR11. Or I would simply delete half of SSRX and at least a quarter or SSR7.

Another vote in defense of Cape Ring here!

Given the spat over just what it means to call for a track to be deleted, my nomination would be all the nitpicky variations on Circuit de la Sarthe (normal, normal with weather+time change, without chicanes, 2005, 2005 without chicanes) and variations on the Nordschleife (what’s “Type V” anyway?); just pick one of each and stick with it.

Or better yet, clean up the interface, so you pick the site (“Circuit de la Sarthe”) as one thing, then can select/toggle its variations independently (“2009 layout... with chicanes... no weather change... and an order of fries”), rather than having to scroll through a dozen variations listed like standalone tracks, just to get to Top Gear Test Track, every time. :irked:

Likewise with the Normal vs Weather/Time Change variations on tracks that have them. (Which they all should!)

I’m sure the AI Drivers Union will be pleased not having Cape Ring’s many variations listed a bunch of times too, so everyone wins! :p
