The One Track That You Would Delete In GT5?

Kart Space. Such a waste of space.

I wouldn't say it's a waste of space. People don't race karts on kart space much because it's the only track where you can really race karts. I like karts but I don't drive them much because there's no where to race them.

You can only race karts there; in any other kind of vehicle, it literally doesn’t let you do anything but solo practice or time trial. (Although I did learn a lot about racing lines by running a road car with Comfort Softs in there!) Pity, though; it could be fun running a pack of 16 Citroën 2CVs or Dodge Rams or X2011s through there... assuming they’d all fit! :trouble:

You can online :), no one does though.

I stand in defense of Cape Ring as well. Periphery is one of my all-time favorite tracks in GT5.

Very nice scenery and a very pleasing flow makes this one of my top tracks. The things I would change if it or eliminate would be the "loop" ramp and the jump after the loop.

I Also think the mini versions would be unnecessary. Periphery and Full Cape Ring are more than enough.

That's funny. I could definitely recall being in drift rooms with at least 6 other people drifiting full sized vehicles unless a recent update has changed things.

I'm surprised to see so many people dislike Cape Ring. I feel that it's one of the best original circuits GT's had. Right up there with the best, and probably the most challenging of all the originals not including off-road tracks in some previous games. It's got some tough corners to master though. Turn 1 still catches me sleeping all the time......regardless of which layout. But that's why I like it.

And WOW @ anyone arguing the Nordschlife is not a good track to race on. It absolutely is NOT too narrow to race on. Every bit of that track is just wide enough for 2 wide racing. I have had countless amazing, door to door, beating 'n banging the right way, on that track from start to finish. If you can't have the best race of your life on the Nordschlife you and/or your opponent either just plain suck at the track, or you simply aren't good racers and have no clue when to, or are just completely unwilling to back off in a corner and not push the issue.

Either way, it's not the track's fault......it's yours. Because that is one of the greatest tracks of all time to race on,.........in video games anyway where you can't.........you know?.......DIE.

I can't say which track I'd delete since in terms of the series, just about every track in GT5 is essential imo. But if I had to I assume it would be Special Stage. I LOATHE that track on any of it's layouts (or Routes if you prefer). But I think if I actually had the power to do so, I'd still leave them in the game because those are real life roads, right? If so, there are probably at least 1000 people who buy the game just because they live near those roads and probably drive on them every day in real life and they are in Gran Turismo.

If those are real roads I would NEVER take that away from people no matter how much I despise the track personally. Same goes for any track that's made from real roads, as much as I dislike most of them like 246 and London....they HAVE to stay for the fans from those areas.

I would get rid of the horrendous Fuji 2005 layouts, absolutely the worst track ever. They should bring back the old 80s or 90s layout or just bring in Sugo International instead. Another one that they should look at is London, change the layout and make it longer and add a pitlane.

variations on the Nordschleife (what’s “Type V” anyway?)

A combination of the GP circuit and the Nordschleife that uses the "D" layout of the GP circuit. It's the one used for the four-hour endurance race.

Or better yet, clean up the interface, so you pick the site (“Circuit de la Sarthe”) as one thing, then can select/toggle its variations independently (“2009 layout... with chicanes... no weather change... and an order of fries”), rather than having to scroll through a dozen variations listed like standalone tracks, just to get to Top Gear Test Track, every time. :irked:

Likewise with the Normal vs Weather/Time Change variations on tracks that have them. (Which they all should!)

This stuff is definitely on my GT6 wishlist.

I wouldn't want any tracks deleted, but I would like one fixed. I really dislike the new Rome Circuit in GT5. It only shares about 2 roads from the original. Sure, the older circuit was alittle more challenging, but that's the best part about it. I still have my copy of GT2 & love driving on that track. I always mess up turns 8-10 in just about any car. But it keeps me coming back. I've mastered just about every track in GT5, so I don't play it much, but I still play GT2 because of that one particular track.

Hated that track every since GT2! God. Its like its in a desert or something, I hate the freaking pit-stop sooo much and the corners on this track.. :banghead:
You're gonna love Willow Springs! lol

"Its like its in a desert..."

?

The name Laguna Seca is Spanish for "dry lagoon". The area where the track is was originally a lake. The course was originally built around the lake, which has since dried up entirely. An artificial pond has since been added.

Surprised nobody said they'd dismiss the ovals. I like Indy fine, but I still haven't learned to appreciate Daytona. Complete snooze-fest. At least with Indy there's some throttle and braking involved, but going flat-out lap after lap after lap makes my eyes roll back in to my head. If I wanted to interminably go around in circles trying to work a draft, I would pick up a NASCAR game. If I remember, the game froze after completing my first truck race at Daytona anyway.

delete in this order
1. Top Gear
2. London
3. Madrid
4. Tsukuba
5. Autumn ring.

kart tracks are ok with karts but with cars they are pretty bad as well

I hate those tiny tracks and don't race on them.

not sure if they need to be removed, but if tracks needed to be dropped I would start with those
