Their comments are getting worse. :D
I was in an online lobby yesterday; and because I wasn't playing one of their kids games (go-in a-slow car-while-he-rams-you) he called me, because my PSN ID is Mazerati-75, wait for it...

...a 'smelly Italia'

Anyone else been called anything more imaginative?

I guess he goes by the "you are what you drive" philosophy.

Why join kids rooms?

I'm not a serious racer; so my only criteria when joining a room are:

1) Free Run
2) Top Gear
3) At least 8/16 playing
4) No dodgy room comments, like 'No x20gay or gayron' or 'Scotland only'.

As a result, I get bombarded a lot with primary school insults.
Some are quite funny though; one time an Australian joined with a mic and started mocking everyone, and basically HE got abused by all other 15 people. He left quite quickly...:)

I made a room the other day called 500 pp Sports Tires, or something like that, anywho it was pretty clear what the rules were. Then join this kid (I presume/hope) who does one race and cant keep up, even though he's in a Saleen S7 and I'm in a Peugeot 106 Rally. So he starts asking me to change pp restrictions, tire restrictions, track and so on. To which I responds "no". This makes him angry and he starts talking trash. I tell him he gets one chance to behave, or I will kick him. Needles to say, he gets kicked. But it doesn't end there, a couple of minutes later I get a message from him, where he continues the insults.... Stupid spoiled bratt!

Yeah. :D I forgot about the post-kick messages.
There was ANOTHER story where I was supposed to trade with this kid, but I decided I wasn't getting a great deal so I called it off.
Inevitably I got messages saying 'get to 🤬' and then 'p:censored: off.'

Make your own room so you're in control, FUN RACE! SILLY=KICK as title!

Well, considering the fact that I'm not 5, I think I'll pass on the title. 👍
I just like to join a busy TG Free-Run lobby and show off my stuff. Isn't that why everybody joins Free-Runs? Well, that, and glitching.

Had my fair share of running into kids online.

I was hosting a clean shuffle racing room a few days ago, which was going as expected until a few racers came in. Sure, they were clean drivers too until someone started playing dirty against them.

As soon as this happened, they started to literally shout in the chat saying how much my room sucks. And even leaving the race to kick the dirty racer out didn't even stop them, so I kicked them.

A few minutes later I recieved a message with one of those stupid "mom" insults.

Needless to say, I just ignored it and continued on racing.

Oh, I remembered another story; this time someone was massively persistent in trying to tell me that my parents are disappointed in me.

A lot of drift rooms with stupid kids in who use 4WD and call it drifting, when they leave skid marks from the front and rear tires. Even my R32 I use is as close to RWD as I can get it, leaves rear skid marks only, unless 90 degree entries happen :sly:

They just go around in super fast 9000000hp cars with their DS3's thinking they're pro...

You can Normally tell when a drifter in your lobby is mature; due to the fact that they're not driving, as you said, supercars with infinite hp and basically just making smoke. The good/actual drifters always use something discreet and, even when there is 15 supercars drag raving down the TG straight, they dont get in anyones way.

Same criteria for me too xD.

I don't speak much, but I usually hear a bunch of BS, usually consisting of:
1. "Hey I want (insert car way over 1mil cr)!" "You can't trade cars over 1mil cr." "Yes you can noob!"

2. "Let's race! (this is the TGTT, keep that in mind)" "Ok" *lines up at the circuit start line* "No, drag race!" *sigh*

3. "My car is faster than yours!" (and they proceed to ether get their ass beat or brag about the cheap victory they had in their X2010)

4. A bunch of ramming.

5. A bunch of whining because they accidentally got hit by someone (yes, this did happen to me. Thank god the host wasn't a little 🤬 too).

6. Plenty of times where I'm just driving around the track and I'm suddenly drafted into a race (no pun intended). Or just randomly hit as I'm cornering.

Can't think of much more ATM. Plenty of kids online though...which gets EXTREMELY annoying when they have a headset.

Or an X2010.

Hell, I got in a room one time with a tough guy that told us he was a hired hit man.

He would get paid around $10,000 to go put the screws on people, such as duck taping their mouths and beating them to death. He went on and on about how it didn't matter who or where the 'target' was... blah blah blah.

I told him he is either a bull**** liar, or the dumbest criminal I've ever met. I let him I'd been recording the conversation since he said he was a hired hitman, and was going to notify Sony. Suddenly the room got real quiet... then he eventually left...

That's the perfect recipe to find the bottom of the barrel...... TGTT free run rooms :yuck:
Those and the cop rooms.

I just join the free run rooms to try and pickup girls with my whip.

Please dont get me started on this subject..
But this is most of them, especially no 1.

ghsnu

My cousin likes to troll kids who act tough. If they quit the room he goes out of his way to find and troll them again.

Maturity is not exactly his specialty, but the guy can sure make me cry in laughter.

I get great kicks out of hosting free run rooms, and having some little upstart come in and ask to start the race

My reply goes something like this:

User: start
Me: start what?
User: the race
Me: what race?

I then post a message saying it's my room, my rules. Don't tell me what to do with it.

Needless to say I've received plenty of childish PM's afterwards lol

I've always wondered what type of person would host a room in a racing game just to chat and drive pointlessly. Now I know.

I go online to race, not babysit. If you can't have manners, you can't race.

Keep it simple. Boot with extreme prejudice.

Boot to the head.

I thought that's what XBOX Forza series was for?

I don't always feel like racing when I load up GT5.

GT5 is a "Driving Simulator" not a Race Simulator, so take your moronic comment back.

Free Run is particularly useful for trying out setups for your cars, or even getting to know tracks that little bit better.

Agree , i use to do it a lot as well , just make a room called " testing tunes " , just a place where you can chat a bit , discuss settings , some people just come in to ask a question and stick around , just to drive / cruise ...

There is no need to race all the time , and besides if we wanna race just try to catch up , it is all about fun ...
A lot of people have different taste , some people only fire GT5 up to race others wanna do different stuff , just don't join a non racing room if you wanna race

I do exactly the same, especially when there's just a message of "GO". I usually run freerun drags down the first straight of Route X with a couple of regulars, and we do a few runs to shakedown the cars and when we feel happy we'll run a full lap race. Enter the new guy who thinks he can win everything because he's got a Veyron. We set the PP for the room to 600-630, which takes away some of the Veyron's advantage and the first message will always be "raise PP". Reply with "Sorry xxx PP tonight" to which he says ok.

Then after about 2 minutes there's the cry of "Go" or "RACE RACE RACE" After troll replying for a little we start the race and the new guy gets left far behind us regulars.

Always so eager to race but can't tune their cars to a competitive level, and more importantly, have absolutely no manners. If they used "please" or even "can we start a race?" the race would be started almost immediately.

If only there was a setting to enable drafting during free runs too...

I avoid "kid rooms" all together. If I happen to join a room and I hear kids talking then I just leave.

If I'm hosting a room and I hear a kids voice and he won't keep quite (many kids feel compelled to talk about nothing) then I will send him on his way.

This would be great but then PD would have to give us a qualifying feature as well. It would be nice if there was a option that only allow the drivers 1 or 2 laps for qualifying and once you run that session you can't rerun it until the next race.

Some kids dont realize that gran turismo does not equal need for speed, so they will often scream into the mic or drive terribly.

This also applies to adults as well sadly.
