The option to "Create Thumbnail" ?

What does this mean or do?
I have clicked this the screen says saving but thats it after nothing seems to happen?

Can some one please tell me what Create Thumbnail does

Sometimes the image is wrong because it failed to update. That is the way to force an update.

If the picture of the car disappears then create thumbnail recreates the picture for you ... it will also update the colours of your car/wheels if you have painted them

Yes this is correct on duped cars/accounts but I had something strange happen to me after 1.06. I have never duped and my ps3 is getting repaired so I havent actually played since latest patch. However I loaded my game save on my nephews ps3 with me logging in of course to my psn just to see all the changes and such. I have roughly 400 cars on my account and about 1/3 of them have no thumbnail pics. Again I have never duped. Its not a big deal as I will just create the thumbs when I get my ps3 back but im not sure why it did that.

It also seemed to be on random cars too and none of the cars without thumbs were gifted or anything. I have not seen on the threads this happening to others so im not sure why but found it interesting.

There's was no "cache" of your profile in your nephew's PS3. Once your recreated the thumbnail it will have a cache on his PS3. Some cars appear some just don't, they're all virtual.

OK I sort of understand, every car I have every brought inc ones I have modded all have the correct little pic besides them , hence why I did not know what create a thumbnail was for, I have over 400 cars and have never had a problem with the thumbnail updating its self

You'll also lose the majority of your thumbnails should you delete your game install (whether by accident or necessity). The garage becomes a nightmare to use with all those blank gaps everywhere, so the "Create Thumbnail" feature can be an incredibly useful feature.

Do you have to do this car by car or can you do all your cars at once?

why would it be a necessity to delete your game install? and surly if you did this all your thumbnails would be deleted as well or am i missing some thing here?
