i have 600+ chips, i've used 2 chrome chips to paint SLR & SLS ( the silver arrows :) ) and still have 3 left....
I really dont know when i got them, but when i used the 1st one on the SLS i didnt had the 256 colors trophy.

@FosterG i'll give you one if you want, i wont use it anyway.

It's bad enough that you have to collect paint but once you use it you lose it is horrible.

I painted my car color x. I tried to paint my rims to match. I couldn't I don't have that paint chip anymore. I can't even paint both my car and rims using the same color.

You should at least be able to use the paint chip twice.
 
I got like 900 paint chips , and like 3 or 4 chromes , only uses obe on the F1 , I paint my cars matte light green mostly
 
actually this makes sense now...i do have a lot more colors then i do cars, which seemed weird...i dont like how once we use a paint chip we can't get it back...bogus!!!
 
690 chips and no chrome.. paint chip scheme is bogus altogether, im sick of wasting money buying cars just for an effing color, PD can eat it.
 
I got my chrome for reaching 30 cars... Actually, I thought everyone did until I read through this site a while ago...

I guess you either have luck, or you don't!:dopey:

But what I want to know is this: can I get multiple chromes through the randomizer if I buy enough cars? Anyone know?

I know a lot of you share my feelings about paint. It is nice to get the daily bonus, but I am currently at 372 chips, would be more if I was not a "painter" :dopey:, BUT as of today, I have not seen the elusive chrome chip. What I have seen is white, black and gray galore, for cryin out loud, how many shades of black can there be? The "randomizer" is in need of a fix. I guess when I reach the next multiple of thirty (210 cars) I will have to try the "paint trick". What number are you up to with no chrome?

What bothers me more than your problem is not being able to see a preview of the car I'm going to paint:nervous:
 
I have only ever seen two Silver Chromes legitimately and one of those was after a backup to USB and som restores! Having got my first (and knowing the rarity) I sent it to another account... five times and on to another account from there. I now have a good supply if I need them... I used one so far... on a Mini Cooper S!

I had a Lexus LFA Passionate Pink Paint Chip in one of the daily dose. Knowing some people's taste in Pink Enzos I sent it a few times to another account (with retores). On two occasions now I have sent them back to my main account and managed to send one more back than I actually had! Today for instance there were 3 on the account I was using so I sent the first to my main account and count goes to 2, second chip the count goes to 1. third chip and the count goes to 0! I sent again (the fourth one) and the chip disappears. Then of course a restore. So I sent four chips for the "price" of three! Not a bad deal!

There should be a law against painting your car and rims the same colour LOL :sly:
