and am looking for Matte orange, Matte purple, and any 3 color shifts to make a deal.

Obviously I am a newbie so happy to send you them first.
 
I need matte yellow! I have midnight purple in different shades i think. Also a whole HEAP of other random paints... ask for one for Matte yellow, and i'll see what i can do... im going to say now that im not going to give any other mattes as trades, because i want to keep them.

if you gift a car (one that has not been resprayed) does the reciver get the colour chip as well?

Actually even if the car has been repainted you still get the chip of the original color. I received a car that was Polar White in color and got the Polar White paint chip. I painted the Car Lemans Blue and sent it to my other account. When it arrived it was Lemans Blue but I got the Polar White paint chip with it as well.

Edit: This was before the 1.05 patch, don;t know if anything related to this has changed since then.

there is chrome orange, chrome orange metallic, and mid yellow chrome.... i have the last two and the first you can buy from lotus

As far as I know there are no other "chrome" colors other than Sliver. There are a coupel of colors with chrome in the name but they are not chrome paints and do not show up under chrome in the game.
