Just an idea I thought. Pretty much a thread similar to the import and muscle car threads. Post photos of vehicles with period correct modifications. If you have any older photos from around the time, that's perfect.

Welcome to 1976.

Continuing with the 70s/80s theme, now with movie cars (I love seeing new cars in old movies)

Look at those BBSs!

Nice idea for a thread. Tacky 80s mods to me means this sort of thing:

A Zender Scirocco or a Dimma Peugeot 205. Both awful frankly, but now have curious appeal as they're both absolutely of-the-era and therefore a bit nostalgic.

Would still prefer an original version of either though, to be fair...

@Cano

The blue car was actually done in the 70s. Its just a modern day photo. The other car not so sure.

Guessing no one will post 'period-correct' mods from today...
...especially when stuff like Mansory is considered the 'period-correct' mod today.

...and Nimrod.

Mind you. At least some tuners can still do it right today.

I hope your eyes are still alright after that.

Sort of along the Alpina lines, Hamann - big in the 1990s, and still going today.
