The "photo@gtplanet.net" email thingy....

I better put this in writing while I remember it...

Just something I thought would be a neat feature... Imagine - you're in Seattle, and suddenly you see a Ford GT parked, right where the stupid 250 degree turn is, you yank out your cellphone (which by now, as mine, has a semidecent 640x480) camera, gets a nice shot - and emails it to photo@gtplanet.net.. Then it shows up in a thread made specially for "that cool picture taken somewhere by a GTP member... Of course, only registrered users who has provided email address (and in the case of emailing by phone - a number) would be allowed to do so....

An idea, nothing more....

Sounds like a cool idea, but what if someone takes a questionable picture? The mods would have to review each picture before it shows up on the site. That'll take quite a bit of work and effort.

Yeah, there really wouldn't be much use to the feature anyway, and with the problem EH just stated, there's not much chance of this happening. The upload thread works just fine for me.
