I read so many good things about the PS4 Pro, but held off (only) because of the promise of backwards compat. w/ the PS5 + a faster 2.23 ghz GPU and ray tracing to boot (which I read about years prior only as a nascent possibility for consoles one day) not to mention the SSD slot. Was lucky enough to collect one at launch and quite frankly, continue to be amazed by the images it's capable of for a console (in all games).

I've read thoughts here that (a GT) or the next GT should be dedicated to the new console/architecture only; that would be unfair to many fellow pilots until an eventual upgrade, but can't help but wonder what could be produced? Real wind effects on the environment in total? Blowing/swaying trees/flocks of birds off in the distance with puffs of dust or blowing leaves about from gusts, marbles kicking up and piling up at certain sections of the track in real time, active Lumirank displays on all race cars combined with active trackside leaderboards, fully staffed and built out paddocks and pit walls, etc, etc? The list goes on and on and who knows what they'll truly come up with or be capable of in such a scenario, but you're right on.

For my eyes, the swaying blades of beautiful green grass never looked better in a GT game (I missed GTS) and the lighting is just on an entirely different level altogether.

Managed to get enough cars with similar liveries to the 2011 FIA GT1 World Championship. This is my favourite era of race cars and I loved this year in particular. The liveries aren't 100% accurate, but there is enough realism in them to feel as if this is a full GT1 grid. I have the Lamborghinis and Corvette tuned to be competitive against the Bop'd Gr.3 cars and it makes for great racing - especially with the road cars driving different lines from the race cars. Going to tweak the Belgian Team Ford a little bit and try to see if someone can recreate the Exim Bank Team China Corvette for me. Then it'll be finished :). These cars are a blast on all circuits. I have a 10 lap replay from this race on my Gran Turismo user page if anyone wants to watch it!
