Just watch, I was hydroplaning all over the damned place the other night on my way home so I turned on my camera and these are the highlights of what I got. I didn't do ANY of this on purpose, in fact you can even hear me say "Whoa,...... whao, whoa......" when I slid in that turn the second time. and then "HAHA!! MY GOD that was slick" after I saved it.

My rear tires looked like racing slicks when I took them off and put new ones on yesterday......

You're a moron. Enough of this crap already.

Dude, I said I didn't do it on purpose, I just happened to still have my camera up their on my way home from work, and decided to turn it on. I changed my tires yesterday.

Enough of what crap?? Having the forethought to turn on my camera when something is about to happen and then posting it with a GOOD message as a warning of what can happen??? WTF dude??

Yeah, I drift on the streets on occasion, so now anything I do is wrong?? If I saved a woman from a burning building and happened to get it on film, would that be a bad thing too??? (and aside from getting it on film I did do that once, I was on a random drive and was the first on scene)

I guess that was exciting for you? What is with the front of the car weaving around? From the impression I got (obviously I wasn't in the car and therefore couldn't feel what it was doing) but that just seemed like you messing around... from the reputation you've brought upon yourself of late I think I know exactly why Kyle thought it was time enough for you to call it quits with posting these vids brother.

Dave

What kind of car are you driving and what speeds were you doing in that video?

Exactly. If your tyres are at the condition of which just driving in a straight line makes you snap sideways, you should be traveling at no where near the speed that you're doing.

In the last 15 seconds you're catching up to the traffic visibly catching up to the car infront of you, so you're going at least the speed limit, on completely wet road , with bald tyres, and you know you car will snap sideways so much as you feel the need to turn on a camera.

Guess what, we know why we need tread on our tyres, so we don't die and crash. I know my front tyres are terrible in the wet, I rarely go the speed limit in them, always under. If you knew you car was going to snap sideways, possibly hitting other cars or people (After all, you're hydroplaning all over the damned place) then slow the **** down.

Again. You're an idiot.

I drive a 240sx and I was going 60mph. Speed limit is 55mph. And I wasn't doing that on purpose...(for the 4th time) My rear tires were just spinning when they'd hit water and that would cause the car to torque steer or in the case of that turn, yes I knew it would slide in that turn, just not that much, it was just oversteer caused by hitting the white line and the river in between the lanes. You can hear me saying "hope it's not too wet" and then "whoa whoa whoa..." and then "wow that was slick".

But you knew it was going to happen. Or else you wouldn't of put the camera on.

When you notice that your car starts sliding because of water on the road, shouldn't your first thought be "I gotta slow down!", rather than "I'll turn my camera on!"? And you ask yourself why people keep calling you names? :ouch:

But you knew it was going to happen. Or else you wouldn't of put the camera on.

Have you ever had a camera at a great time and were able to take a once in a lifetime picture? I have once or twice. Many other times I wished I'd had a camera.

So the camera was hooked up, big deal. Maybe he didn't get the chance to take it down after the last event or was just too busy to do so. Or didn't want to get the camera wet in the rain. I don't know and it really doesn't matter.

Was it stupid, certainly. It's completely his fault for having tires that bald on his car. End of discussion. The fact that he got some of the actions of this stupidity on camera is not significant.

This is why i'm glad that my rear tyres went bald during the summer, I only noticed they were bald when I got a nail through one of em and the tyre guys pointed it out. It didn't help that in the dry they still gripped fantasticly, so now I make sure to check the tread once a month when I give my car a lookover.

Why do you have a camera mounted in your car anyway? Do you actually record interesting things like autox/track/drifting on a track? Or is it just for MAD TOKYO DRIFT SHEEET YO? I mean I love going out for 3am hoon on country backroads sometimes, but I wouldn't have thought that it was that interesting to record it and put it on the internet for everyone to call me a dumbass.

Also it should be keep it safe out there, because 'their' is the possesive verison.

Can't wait till he balls it up...

Bet he won't be posting the video of that.

And he obviously likes the attention here.

Why do they call it common sense if it isn't that common? It just doesn't make sense.

We don't want to see how great you are at endangering your and others lives, so stop posting them if you don't want to get flamed.

This is one of the main problems when you give someone a car who doesn't know how to drive in the wet. I've seen the same problem over and over again, also on snow/ice. If the speed limit is 55, people will go 60-65, be it dry, raining, snowing or frozen.

You're forgetting the most basic principle. Why are you hydroplanning? Because you're going too fast! Slow down, change your tyres or don't drive at all.

I feel sorry for your parents, I really do. All that education money gone to waste. :indiff:

I can't believe you took the time to make this thread after your last one. All you've proved now is that you're a liability on the road whether you're trying or not.

Everyone should make a point of checking their tread regularly. It took a blow-out on the M4 for my mum to realise that (wait for it..) I needed to check the tread and pressures more regularly.

Keep it up! One day you'll make it to D1, For sure. 👍

pretty cool stuff. god thing u got new tires or else that could end up in an accident next time

You don't seem to get how dumb the crap he does is. OF course, you are a bit young to drive.

Don't speed on wet when you are losing control. ITS A FREAKING NO BRAINER.

Or given present form more likely he will make it here...

....I'm sorry but once again we have a video of behaviour that has no place on the street.

As for the excuse that you only realised your tyres were that bald after it happened, well quite frankly that just does not cut it. Its your car, so its your job to ensure its road worthy.

I can certainly tell you that tyres that bald would be illegal in the UK, and I would imagine (and hope) the same is true in the US.

rsmithdrift, I can't but help admire the quality of your Enthusia videos, but these are just not acceptable, and certainly they lower my own personal opinion of you, which I find disappointing.

You realised your tyres were bald and causing control problems, yet you increased your speed and happily admit to exceeding the speed limit in the wet and in a car that was not safe to do so (hell its wasn't safe to drive in the dry if the tyres were that bad). For the second time you have freely admitted to illegal activity, and that's just not acceptable. Please consider this a public warning not to post any more videos of this nature, they are against the AUP and should you post future videos of this type action will unfortunately be taken.

Thanks

Scaff

Note that the front left fender of that Supra says "Abflug", which is German for "having a crash" (as in flying off the track/road) !?!?!? As if the car knew it ... :odd:

Abflug is a very, very, very, very well known Japanese tuner.

I'm sure you've seen the S900 before.

Why hasn't anyone pulled the 2JZ out of that Supra and sold it on Ebay?

Hence the reason that I, and the three friends I asked, have never heard of it. That also doesn't change the meaning of the word in German.

Yes, let's profit from death. And, let's do it by encouraging more idiots to drop that thing into a Civic.

Parts are parts, the car didn't kill the driver the driver did. I bet you at least one of those onlookers in that photo are thinking 'well the wheels aren't too badly damaged and the engine bay is probably fairly unaffected' and the only reason it hasn't been parted out is because it was taken by the police to use as an example as why you shouldn't be a retard on the road with a 450bhp supra.

Also I don't even think it would be possible to mount a 2jz into a civic and it would probably just end up in another supra anyway more than likely. Or a cressida maybe.

Oh man a cressida with mkiv supra drivetrain and engine would be awesome. Oh man I want a cressida now.

If I died in a crash I hope someone sells the parts of my car so my spirt can live on in the parts. WOOOO I'M THE HAUNTED BALLJOINT OF THE DAMNED! WOOOOOO

Atleast 2 good rims, entire front end minus fenders, some interior bits, and the trans should all be in one piece.

Now throw it all in an S2K and bam: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WirkGXYdOus
(Please do note that is the same video as posted a few threads down in the "Supra engined S2000" thread)

Just pointing out the fact that it's a company that makes parts, not arguing the meaning of the word. Get some more educated friends, too.
