Thank's polar for the series up to this point. I am going to bow out. At these specs, the Chevy feels like it's dragging an anchor around the track. The replays over the weeks clearly show all the other GT cars putting distance between me and everyone else, no matter how much I screw around with the transmission.

And since all the other GT cars are closely competitive, you all can draft off each other, which leaves me in the dust even more, as I have spent 90% of each race, racing alone.

I had no idea the Chevy would be such a POS. I never tried it before I put my hand up for it. Now I know why none of your regular racers want to touch it. What frustrates me the most is I know I am a decent racer, and would love to have some decent battles, but she let me down.

Have fun all and good luck all.

Why you don't change the car, is there any spot..?, or maybe any spec update...talk with Polar!

I may be really slow but I am a great motivational speaker.

This was not an official race (without points) ? I didn't know lol.

The setup was wrong, but unfortunately since I was dimwitting around in the Audi for much of qualifying I literally had to do a lap on the new tweak in the Mazda. The understeer into the turns and oversteer out of it became apparent as I started dropping off the pace severaly.

ghskilla, as with SSR5, I have to ask you again to not gravitate towards my car when I'm alongside you making an overtake on you. You did it early in the race, but much more annoyingly, on lap 34. You moved over twice to block me, but I was already halfway past you anyway so it was pointless, but more importantly, off-putting.

If it's not intentional, be more aware of doing it please, because I will be shrugging you off next time it happens.

Note my inspiration:

It's only one move, and I never intended to do it twice. Only once. One move on the straight is perfectly legal, and I give you enough room on the inside if you consider taking it.

Ok. Nice to see we somehow managed not to have a single caution; regardless of there seemingly being a lot of contact and the extra race length.

Ghs, you are one convenient sod. At the start your stupendous speed got under my skin. I watched the replay and it turns out it was because James gave you a helping hand, but that pushed me to last. Also, as I wanted to follow you into the 2nd pit stop; Sail conveniently had most of the pit entrance covered after his spin, making it unsafe to do so. That also got under my skin...

I don't remember James helping me in any way, because I was lapping him and not considering how getting in the dirty air in the hairpins slows me down. You had the pace advantage, since you were catching up to me. I try my best to steer clear of trouble. It wasn't at all perfect for me, either, since I lost 4 seconds stuck in the battle between DP, allowing you to close up.

I'm still wondering why I'm getting a time penalty for something that until I was told I did that I had no clue even happened. Plus there was at least 1 more caution so guto could catch back up.

Maybe a spec boost for graz would be optimal if he decides to stay. 10hp or maybe a weight drop would work.

We're at minimum weight, the Camaro will have 10 more HP starting this week.

Sorry if I sounded too upset over something so small like a Gran Turismo race, my whole night has been very frustrating. See you next week!

OK, 10 more HP added for next Saturday? I thought you meant the next series. OK, I'll give it a try, but I don't think it will be enough. In fact, I will compare the Chevy vs. the Audi, since I did pretty good in the spot race with it.

And james, thanks for the PM. It has been an uphill battle with this car since day 1. One more college try I guess.

Polar: Just out of curiosity, what GT specs are you getting all these numbers from?

No problem man I feel the same. I am slow but that car was just to slow. I was only 2 seconds off qualifying pace today so the car wasn't to terribly slow.

I do 8 lap races in each car at 3 tracks; Daytona, Laguna Seca, and I think I did Rome this season. I then make the cars average time pretty much the same for each track, then I average the HP for all 3 tracks.

It's not totally perfect, but it isn't horrible.

And I also used Suzuka.

1) You seemed to get a little but significant enough shunt from behind at the start. I know James wasn't flying but he wasn't getting lapped before the race begun somehow.

2) I never mentioned the DP battle because it was mutual. Those DP being slow around the hairpins :grumpy:

Why? It was 1 mistake. I waited 15 s seconds on the last dew laps to keep from messing up damu and fhs gt position battle

Firstly, sorry if we obstructed you heavily. Secondly, maybe you made only 1 mistake, but it sent guto flying into the barrier & you didn't wait to yield position.

Plus there was at least 1 more caution so guto could catch back up.

The second caution helped him catch up, but not overtake. Other events conveniently negating the problem doesn't mean the issue's resolved. However, it is the reason the penalty wasn't 20 seconds, say for a quick drive-through.

On another note, Polar are we using the same draft this season for next season?

Yes, same draft procedure. Possibly switching the lotus and Mazda for the corvette and Aston Martin V12

1.) I didn't know I hit him until I was told so. I use cockpit view, and I have the track map shrunk. I would have waited had I known.

2.) I waited on you and fh out of courtesy because I knew that I had time to give away. Had I known that I was being penalized 20 seconds, I would have shot past and possibly negatively affected that gt battle.

Look, go ahead with the penalty if it floats your boat. I guess nice guys finish last. Isn't this the first time I have done anything in question this season? Granted, it was a bad driving move on my part. Looking back, I shouldn't have attempted it, but until I was told I hit guto, I thought he just washed up into the guardrail. I felt no feedback on the wheel that indicated contact.

Is it cool if I permanently run with +15 bhp now? Thats what I ran last night and It seemed to be a lot better. Hopefully it'll be even more significant on slower speed tracks.

You mean to tell me you ran with 15bhp more than the specs last night? And I had to hang back and get in the way of everyone? That sucks!!!

This would've been better had it been a PM to me.... You really shouldn't cheat.

1) This information helps change my mind how? Accidentally, ignorant of the situation, however you wish to explain it; guto didn't have a chance to defend his position against you and lost positions at the time.

2) I was adapting the penalty in accordance to the running order. Unless you were lapping over DP's or near enough, I was going to use the time penalty in such a way.

As for this season, SSR5 was the first race that anyone from DP asked me to check an incident. I've been asked to judge something, I asked someone else in GT if they agreed with my decision & Storm did agree it deserved a penalty. Now I need him to confirm something, Storm (who I kind of instated as a temporary steward due to tbw leaving) has vanished off the face of the Earth.

The more I watched my replay, the more I start to suspect lag was involved. There was a lag jump in the tunnel. From my replay, I went in low, and I was going to diamond the corner. Guto was beside me on entrance, but I saw him a car length ahead of me. I then got on the throttle. Almost simultaneously, guto literally slides behind me. From there he goes up the track and into the wall. My money is on that I drove in, washed up, hit guto, and powered away lIke I meant to do It on all of you guys' replays. If that is the case, then I provably do deserve a penalty. I guess I will chalk it up to my connection and the stupid servers that gt5 has.

You said earlier in the thread mate... Although looking back you said 10 not 15. So I'm sorry for that.

Alright. I thought you ment 15 on top of that :P

You can keep the extra 10; that was a spec change. :)
