The Camaro may need -5 HP, like really...
Damn Polar give me some credit! LOL! One win and you want to shut me down already? I have tuned all my cars on NurbNord and Grand Valley. If you can dial your cars in on both those tracks, you can drive any other track in the game with relative ease. I have ran 1000's of laps on both tracks for 2 years now.
Remember, the Chevy has all the power in the middle. She loves to corner. This track was a great example of it finally being competitive with the 10 extra HP. Damu, GH would still get away on me on the straight. I could catch them in the corners. TB was right on my tail for several laps too. Even Storm rocketed past me on the straight with his rotary power! The Chevy's top end still suffers a bit, thats why I needed to keep up the drafts, and fly around the corners, or I may have fallen back.
Also, that was one of my race of a lifetimes. I did not bounce, hit or drive into walls, guardrails or into the beach once. Traded a bit of paint, but it was very close racing.
I made sure my gears from 2-5 were close, 6th was a bit shorter than I normally have it. By the end of the straight, I was almost topping out. I knew I had to make the gears short this race, but maintaining the draft was key.
During the pit under caution, not sure how I went in 3rd and came out 1st. Pit Crew was pretty fast I guess.
All it took was the extra 10HP to be in the game. I'll run some laps on Tokyo, and see what times I can get and compare it to others in the coming days.
Great battles guys, really an fantastic race. Even avoiding a few DP cars was fun.
Happy Holidays!
