Can you guys list Season 3 specs for each of the GTs? I'll be running a few tests before I go.
 
I think it depends on the driver. I'm slower in the Audi, Mazda, and Ferrari than I am in the Camaro and Lotus. The Mazda is pretty darn slow, mind... but I think in-race it'd be better.

Everyone, consider pp when you're speccing the cars. Most of mine are 539 pp +or- 2 pp, aside from the Mazda, a measly 528.
 
I think I have a spec. that gives the Mazda some pace back on the other cars. I'm kinda fearing that it'll result in massive drafting capabilities in-race, but it certainly won't be a hotlapper.

In that spot race you got going on, can we run any car? Meaning have more than two on the track.

We're aiming for 2 of each, to make sure specs are close between more of the cars.

Seems that now the Mazda is a bit off pace and the Ferrari is a bit quick...

At least we know now so we can fix it!
 
I believe the Mazda to be the slowest as well. But like Tez said. Its not going to be a fast hot lapper. It will do well in race conditions. Which is fine if you ask me.

The Ferrari's aero is what I think gives it its advantage. My test track is Suzuka and through some of the corners its no lift racing. :scared:

The other cars I would categorize as "safe" to drive. It may just be the way I tune though.
 
Okay so at Suzuka, I'm getting the feeling that 35 less kg at that power spec will do 3 things for the Mazda:

1. ~ Brings it's competitiveness up a lot. It is probably the slowest over 1 lap, but at least now it won't be by much.
2. ~ Improves tyre wear. This'll help it run more consistent lap times per stint, while going further per stint.
3. ~ Gives the Mazda a trump card. The car will benefit much more from draft, and since it's the slowest, it'll need it.
 
Good deal. I've yet to see what tire life is on any of these cars. I'll see what I can do. Might be able to get a quick session in tonight when I get home.
 
Hey polar, its a good thing you got here, but I would like to see some more variety in DP cars, is there absolutely no possible way you could spec the peugot 905 and the 787B?
 
@Dave: We thought about it, but Polar wanted the ratio of DP to GT to be realistic. IRL, there are about 10 DP to 18-20 GT a week, so we did a quick ratio from that which put the DP class with 6 cars, and the GT class at 10 cars. Polar wanted 3 teams with 2 of the same car. We tested all Group C, and those 3 were what was decided. I wanted the Sauber, 787, and R89C, but I'm fine with the 3 we have lol.

Could be done, but the 3 we have are practically dead even, and look the closest (in my opinion) to the real life cars.

It was thought about though :)

We've also been over this about 7 times.
 
So the draft this weekend will be held at normal race time?

How much time are you going to give drivers who dont respond when its their turn. Maybe have like an absente ballot? PM Polar your top three in what order you would want them.

The top 3 will be used :)

But I may become a bit quieter until October 11th. Trading in my 4s for the iPhone 5, but renewal isn't until october 11th, so I'll be smart phone less until then :/ small price to pay for a free phone though ;) plus, I won't have to make any major changes to my phone usage. (if I switched to android) and a lot of my friends have iPhones so we can still trade cases and stuff :)
 
For the draft, I won't be able to get on PSN, but I can still be on GTP at work. 50% of my time at work is spent on GTP anyway. :p

Good news! They locked in the price! I get to keep the current phone!

And draft will be probably a bit before Rolex time- after Rolex
