Rather than moan about the new seasonals as so many seem to do,

I would like to thank PD for the regular updates, its almost as if their interest in GT5 has picked up again, Ok so they're not the most difficult events but thats good because my gf can get involved and can do most events after a bit of learning the track.

Its also nice that the cr system seems to have had a sizeable boost and we're not racing for peanuts anymore, this has doubled my interest in playing and building up cr, I've bought more cars in the last few weeks than ever before 👍

Nice one PD

Keep up the good work :)

totally agree.

only request to have more "challenge" seasonals like the elise and impreza challenge.

You can call me Ray or you can call me Rayray ---
I agree with you completely -- :)👍

Must say I have much more fun racing some of the seasonals than I was having trying to complete A-spec and B-spec. Since the PSN network doesn't seem to like my connection and disconnects me when I try to race online I don't have that option open to me as a way to enjoy the game. So driving odd or different cars in the seasonals has helped keep my interest in the game. Still haven't completed all the expert events but agree that PD should include something like them once a month or so for the more advanced drivers.
Thanks PD for continuing to support the community as a whole and keep up the good work!

I think that PD considers "Seasonal Events' as an extension of A-spec, which is very good at all...

I'd like to see more "Expert Seasonal" races...

If the cr is good then I'll race the seasonal event (other than the once just to have done it...and the occasional change of pace).

Cr seems to be good. :)

I have to give it to PD for uploading 2 new seasonals last week, instead of just one. Didn't see that coming.

Yes, thanks PD. I appreciate the value added to my original purchase.
I can always make any Seasonal more difficult by cutting back on power and on tire quality.

Love it! Before I had a network connection, I had to race the same races over and over again just to get any CR's. Then I'd get a 1/2 decent car then lose race after race til I could tune it enough to get I win. Just to win the same damn car I just bought and tuned. Hope to see The variety expand.

The Seasonal Events basically help extend what otherwise seems like a game over too quickly. While I am not considered an online gamer, having these extra events give you more ways to race apart from what races the game ships with. It is a way of extending the game and offering more challenges. One thing I realize with GT4 and other GT titles is that since you can't update a past GT, you basically have to offer as much content as possible to make the game as playable for a long time as possible. If we didn't have online or these Seasonal Events, we'd just have a game that seems to be over too quickly. So I am very appreciative of these Seasonal Events. I'd hate to race the same in-game championships on and off again just to raise money and experience. I am basically awaiting the next set of Seasonal Events to buy new cars and go racing in more events. It's all about extending the range of race options for cars in my garage. It's a great addition to GT5 that I'm sure will continue Gran Turismo racing far beyond all the racing shipped onto the GT5 disc.

I agree.
If it were not for the seasonals, GT5 would be on the shelf collecting dust.
I still think more events should have been in the original game, but the seasonals help with that shortfall.
Especially liked the expert races, since GT5 was also short on race challenges.

It's the best $58 I've ever spent. Started at Christmas, still going strong!

The AI has got more interesting, the prizes are worth competing for, the "Expert" events really teach you how to drive and you get the occasional bargain in the OCD.

Nice one PD!

I look forward to Wednesdays now - never thought I'd say that! :dopey:

Hey im new here, I just picked up my second ps3(black ops bundle IM SICK I MISSED GT5 BUNDLE). If I get gt5 wensday how long before I can race the seasonal races? sorry if its been asked but what can I say im a noob to this forum.

I really appreciate PD for giving us these seasonal updates. Hopefully they make more challenges as I prefer them but I am not complaining. I just wonder what the future holds for us.

Same here, it's basically the only racing I do now on GT5, in fact it's really the only reason I load the game up now. I do still buy cars, but since I already have them all it's just variations of ones I already have. I thought about starting a new game on another account, since the seasonal's will make it so much easier, but then I got to thinking that I can't be bothered to do B-Spec again. 👍

I agree with most of the above. All I really miss from the seasonals is winning a car at the end. I love the feeling of anticipation as your prize is 'opening'... Other than that, well done & thanks, PD!!! :)

Slightly off topic... but here's your answer. If you start GT5 and do all the setup malarky and install and connect to the internet, It will take you about 6 hours to reach level 30 aspec, have millions in the bank and dozens of supercars just by doing the seasonals. Almost any starting car will do. Start with FF/FR events, then move to the higher paying events. The current payouts are enormous.

sorry, misread the question .... immediately is the answer, you just need the net.

I'm new to online - does anyone know how long each Seasonal Event lasts? I don't want to miss any by taking to long to race them.
And how long will the CR and XP be higher for Seasonals?

They haven't taken down a seasonal since way back - just look at the start dates of some of the older ones (ferarri F1 etc to the right). The time trials don't stick around though, specially when the leaderboards are full of 'glitchers'
