JordanHave you tried GTP Lite, silviadrifter?
Yes, they solved a lot of the problems, they are supposedly still working on the server, but I have yet to hear from them.silviadrifterNo, I haven't tried it yet. I'm with M5Power.... I want to be able to experience the full site, like I did with GTP5...... I'll give it a try, for now, but I hope we can get this problem figured out, soon.....
Jordan, have you made any headway? Have the techs figured anything out?

ultrabeatIt only takes a little bit longer thant the old version anyway!
silviadrifterA little longer? What are you smoking? If GTP5 was just a little faster, for you, you must have had some serious issues with GTP5..... Me, on the other hand, enjoyed GTP5 at lightning speed (except for a few hicups). [analogy]If GTP6 were in a race, 56K would have passed it a while back....[/analogy]

VashTheStampedeIt's more like a freakin' day and a half--if we are lucky--to get anything to load. With GTP5, I never had problems, albeit except when the server was down and the reasons are definitely obvious. As it is right now, it is slower than 56k, and I like the analogy silvia . . . it was rather humorous. But basically right now, it is like comparing Minardi's speed to Ferrari's speed in Formula 1. I cannot even scroll down a page without it moving slowing; it is as if each time I scroll down the page has to reload. Even viewing the forums is the same way. Every page I have been too has been extremely too slow. Hopefully these professionals can work out these bugs!
Yes, actually. See this thread.silviadrifterWell, for us Broadband people (on the full version of GTP6), it is still quite slow..... It really hasn't improved at all, over the last week... Any word, Jordan, on what's going on, or if there has been any progress?.....

JohnBM01No offense, but this site is loading better with my replies and new threads.
yetiBTW a way to get round DNS problems would've been to publish the new IP address for your site to your members so we could've found you straight away...

I couldn't do that for two reasons. First, all of the images were broken, and second, you couldn't login. So, I could have redirected you here, but I don't think you would have liked it very much.yetiI concur...
Things are a lot speedier than before... and the DNS' have been updated in Europe too... so I can see!!

I still find it very slow. https://www.gtplanet.net/index.html took me 20 seconds to load. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/default.stm takes me 2 seconds, tops to load. Jordan, what kind of server is gtplanet on now? Is it on a Windows? Linux? Unix? BSD?
