I found a video on YouTube that shows onboard from Le Mans in the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo. Listen to him, then compare with the sound of the game. In addition, listen to audio Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 also from the game. The result? Decide for yourself.

There's so much more going on in the real thing - parts that interact with each other producing sound. On different levels too - there's hardly any repetition. When the car accelerates the complexity of it all and the sound that is produced make each gear change and acceleration or braking sound a little bit different and so much more alive than any game on the market.

What I want to say is - lower your expectations when it comes to GT6 current and future sounds - even with PD experimenting in the constraint PS3 environment.

PS4 ? That's a different story but still, reproducing the real thing seems improbable. I expect something more convincing with more "sound layers" in the mix. A richer, more pleasing to the ear and more real sound but not a 1 to 1.

No way.

Sure, PD hired few people but I think for every company there are steps to make in a project like this.

You know step 1 - better sounds, step 2 - even better etc etc.

I expect them to improve greatly for GT7 but I don't expect them to jump ahead of the competition by several years in the area they struggled for so long.

Frankly I still expect the sounds on the next GT to be behind the competition. But, I do expect them to be better than they are now, not that I have a massive problem with the sound.

That complexity that you talk about will be very present with all the sound simulation parameters that will be functioning in gt7.
