May I say, this car is slower than my Mini Cooper.
I can't get this car to do near 170mph successfully on the Tokyo R246 straight and yet, it only does 140mph with a stock tranny a shifting into 6th gear. I mean, this car is a race car, not a street car. The regular Spoon S2000 is quicker than the racer itself. But anyways, enough with my thoughts, what do you think about this car?

Can't say I've ever actually raced the thing, it doesn't appeal to me visually and it doesn't seem to perform all that stunningly but everyone likes something different.

I love the Spoon S2000, absolutely HATE the Spoon S2000 Race Car, even though I'm a S2000 Fanatic. I'd rather drive a BMW 328Ci than the Spoon S2000 Race Car.

The Spoon S2000 race car is one of the best handling cars in GT3 and can beat a lot of more powefull cars, top speed isn't everything.

Yes, but when it can't beat rally cars it ain't good.

For those who don't play in the Weekly Series (see Online Racing Forum), this week's combo is a full modded Spoon S2000 on Deep Forest.
I had never driven this one (but I liked the S2000 LM Race Car) and I discovered a wonderful car. With a slightly oversteering set-up it's really fun to drive.

Thanks, Darin, for pointing out that the original post was about the spoon S2000.

In the second reply to your post, the Mugen S2K was brought up. Then the Spoon S2K racer, and after those two THEN I mentioned the LM.

Seeing as it was heading more towards a specialty S2K conversation, I didn't think I would hurt anyone's feelings.

Chastise evenly, or not at all.

I can and I do it with ease even when the cars untuned.

Same here. The Spoon S2000 Race Car is awesome. I love it.

Something must be wrong. How are you'll beating Rally cars with this thing?

Hondas by design are torqueless wonders, imo they just force you to drive smarter and carry momentum through the course. I love the Spoon s2k.

its my choice drift car for when it gets serious, its the car i can control the best, and is fairly quick at 444hp.

The SPOON S2000 don't get that high of Horsepower rating. The approx maximum HP rating for the SPOON S2000 is 355HP.

I just used stock Spoon S2000 Race Car in the Japanese Championship in Amateur league. Racing against the NSX Type S was difficult, especially on the long straits, but it was a lot of fun.

Wrong.
The Mugen S2000 reaches 380 hp when fully modded and the Spoon S2000 really reaches 444 hp.
I think many people of this thread are confused. The initial point was about the Spoon S2000 Race Car (the blue and yellow) which is crap (max 355 hp). All those who think it's a good car are actually thinking at the other Spoon S2000, named Spoon S2000 (J) in the garage which reaches 444 hp.
Got it :odd:

Indeed. They reach about 560 hp if I remember well. I've always found it strange too.

No, I was talking about the yellow and blue Spoon S2000 Race Car. It is awesome, if you know how to drive.

The Spoon S2000 Race car is an aquired taste.
Yes, it feels heavy, and slow.
When you give it a chance, and don't try to stretch out it's top end too much you will find it to be almost annoyingly stable.
Try it in free run around Cote d' Azur. You might be pleasently suprized.
I used it to win the Rome Enduro. It is not so much faster than the TVR, as it is such a great handling little car.

I drove it around Cote d'Azur about 29 laps then I left to go to sleep. But anyway, the car was a surprise. It handled the best from them slow little corners. After that run around Cote d'Azur I kept the car stock.

i damn near luv every car in gt3. and the spoon may not be a monster compared to the other cars... but its got some tight... tight... handling;)

The Spoon S2000 Race Car is definitely a surprise. I'd written it off as slow and boring in my previous couple of passes through GT3.
This time I'm trying to make every race & championship as tight, challenging and enjoyable as possible, and this car has been an ideal choice for the Beginner League GT World Championship. Equipped with T8 tyres, the fully modifyable suspension and an oil change, its been giving excellent races against a host of rally cars and the C-West Razo Silvia.

Definitely gets 👍 👍 in my book.

Touge Master
The spoon definetley has the handling but it needs the power. It's good for a challenge though and that's why I like it.

If one likes a challange, go for the Spoon S2000.

Btw how many modded/tuned Spoons are in the game?
