Sorry guys, I'm out of this series, mostly because it looks nothing like one. It's just too disorganized.

Only 5 guys shown, myself included, and suddenly qualifying rules are changed, not one car is verified to make sure its specs are correct.

Sorry BK, but when you get this up to speed, I'll be happy to join in, if you still have me.

Qualifying rules were stated. Besides, I trust people not to cheat, the only ones they'd be cheating would be themselves. For a frickin' 3 lap race, no way. For the race, YES!!
 
Seth can't make it before 1, so i stay up, so we can have more drivers to race with. One guy leaves because....i don't know why. 5 guys left, another dissapears, 4 guys left, then 3, i take the lead, after bombe loses the car and get chased down by mu. Going into the first turn, mu touches my rear, and i get pushed into the gravel, losing 1st & 2nd place.

I don't know, but the lack of people showing up each week, i don't think there's a point to continuing this.

And yes, i did rage quit.
 
The annoying thing just is... nobody's telling anything about why they are not here. Tissimo and Jake: I'm looking at you... come on, join the fun.

Pawel: MU couldn't feel the bump, but he did see it as a bump, so he was kind of torn about how to feel about the win.
Razor didn't quit, his game froze. That could also be seen by the car standing completely still suddenly.

Suzuka Short:

1 MU
2 Bombe + 6.xxx
3 Pawel (rage quit lap 32/33)
4 Razor (game froze)
5 Guest (rage quit - sucked) (no pts)
99999 Yeratel (rage quit quali race) (no pts)

Worst track ever. Apparently, I can host, but unfortunately, people don't like me hosting.

A little disappointed that Seth doesn't show when the time was changed just for his sake... sigh.

The reason I quit was that, as I looked on the OP, I didn't see anywhere any reference to bombe being named a steward in this series, and as such, didn't agree with him changing the qualifying procedure, without having the proper authority to do so.

Nothing personal, BK, I understand the fact that you couldn't show up, but to avoid any misunderstanding, you should have named someone to act on your behalf.

As I said in a previous post, I'm off from this series from the time being, and whenever it gets back on track, I'll be happy to race with you guys, if you'll have me.
 
I'm sorry, Yeratel, but what was different? That I didn't write down lap times? I've been in this series from the beginning btw :)

Checking specs before a 5-man race is too much of a hassle, considering that it's the same guys I've raced with the last 3 weeks.
 
I just can't catch a break in this series, Race 1, Wheel unplugs heading into last corner. Race 2, i have no control of my rear, and it's shift 2 for the whole race, Race 3, wrong tyres picked, i completley lose them and race 4, get touched from behind......

As you can see tables are updated. I gave Jake them 10 points from Indy Road which you guys suggested adding. This double header thing really messed with me, I don't get why you guys do two 30 minute races over two Saturdays. You might as well make them an hour and have them as seperate rounds if they are going to be seperate weekends, or just both of them on the same night if they are 30 minutes. Also, I didn't put pole and MPG from Suzuka, mainly because I didn't know from bombe's results lol.

I see the series is falling apart without me. Apparently Spa is next week which is always one of only about 3 tracks on the game in LMP's that helps me ignore the problems of GT5 thanks to the brilliant-ness of the track. If I have time next week I might pop in to make up some numbers in the lobby.

And finally these faces are awesome :) Happy April Fools Day everybody :)
 
I couldn't make the race. It wasn't that I couldn't get up on time. But the power has been going out lately. So it didn't get cut back on till around 11:30 Saturday morning. Been really windy and rainy out here and been causing outages. The weather is looking better this weekend though, so I'll be there baring anything out of my control.
 
Pole position was MU and MPG irrelevant, as only the two of us finished the race. Razor and Pawel should get points though, but even if they had finished, none of us would have gained anything.
 
Seems everything went crazy while I was not here.

1st - bombe, Tissimo, Allin & Mike all use to be stewards in my series when it was running like a well oiled machined. I was working almost full time and a full time college student so they helped a lot. But a lot of guys didn't have the time to be stewards any more and some quite just because they didn't like the tire wear anymore. This is why no one is listed as a steward, but bombe making the call on what to do is fine with me because I trust his judgement.

2nd - The double header was a chance to get in more tracks in a season ( I thought it was a cool idea) And it would have given you a chance on race day to improve if you did bad the first race. But I said I could not be there, and when I did show up only 5 people were in the room. So I hosted the first race but had no time to host the 2nd so we decided to postpone the 2nd race. Its super boring only racing with 5 people but I can't make someone show up.

3rd - People just sign up and don't come, what am I supposed to do??? I can only send PMs and msgs on PSN. People just respond no I'm quitting or ignore my messages all together. I've slowly lost interest in GT5 but I love the online competitoj even when im fighting for10th place and not 1st. Its why I still set up the thread and host and get 16-17 signups but only 5 show.......

So I'm open to any and all suggestions on how to get more people to join and commit.
 
BK, I think some aspects of the series need to be looked at. You've done a great job in the past 5 seasons but now we're short on numbers you've got to start appealing to people to join your series, by showing it's professional and well run.

For example, I've always noticed that whenever a new race weekend comes along there is no build-up to it. It just goes 'It's Spa. Great track. Be there'. Race previews look professional. My F1 series is just starting it's 3rd season, this is my preview for Australia as a good example

Don't get me wrong it takes a while, but it works. My series had double figure attendance pretty much every race last season and so far has 13 dedicated people (the majority from last season) signed up for this season :) But not just race previews, something off track to keep thread activity high like race blogs etc. I'm sure someone like golfer could do that 👍

Which then leads to another point. We need the old heads of the series who have been here past seasons to come back full time. Razor, Jake, tiss, Drum, Mike etc and even people like pj, Johny and Senna (if you can get hold of him) and even dare I say it, golfer. I'm sure I saw Adam trying to sign up a few pages back too. And then the league seems more appealing to join for newcomers as well, knowing there is plenty of people to race, as well as then having people in the series we know we can trust.

Jake is gone underground, I think, lol.
Adam was the guest driver, but he quit because he couldn't control the car (GT-One). I also said I wasn't sure whether BK would let him join again, but I thought 5 people were better than 4...
PJ's never online, forget him. He didn't show up anyway. Razor shows up regularly, it's just he's not on GTP - and no one told him about the series until I sent him a message two weeks ago. He's been at both Seca and Suzuka. Very unfortunate that he disconnected.

I think the thing that scares people away is the cars. People want equal cars (eg: the same cars) to make more fair racing. If not, then they want multi-classes. We've got neither.
That being said, the regulations this season seems to be the best there have been of all-time. 908 can beat R8 01, R8 can beat Bentley, Bentley can beat 908 etc... hard to tell about the other cars, but Paw's Audi is quite competitive as well and it would be very odd if the GT-One couldn't compete with anything...
 
Im actually good friends with Senna , We text each other a lot or on Facebook. Hes kinda over GT5 but ill see if i can get him back for maybe a few rounds. You'll see him again and his antics if you get rFactor 2 or pCARS.

Yes it would be nice if the regular guys came back, instead of all being massive hommes. Thats the biggest thing for getting more drivers. If its full more people just want to join, its like being part of an exclusive club and everyone wants in. I would like to get a group of guys like the ones Allin races with, its more about fun competition than being all out to win.

I'm all for 2nd chances but i can count on 1 hand the # of times Adam actually finished a race. If your going to start then finish, just dont quit because you are not in first - thats lame for everyone else.

The cars are great this season, and if i ran another i dont think i would change them. I had a great setup for the BMW last season with tissimo but after i got a handle on the lack of grip it was just too slow. The car felt planted like the R8 but no matter what it was 1 sec a lap slower than a 908 , this is why the BMW has more HP than before.
 
Sorry, I've been really busy... plus have been kind of bored of gt5/sim racing. After now being off a month or two.. I'll load it back up and play around when I get some free time. Maybe practice a little for this weekends race.
 
I'd totally make all the races if I could. I've been really busy. Season 4 was a ton of fun.
 
I'll be there this weekend! I'll be up early so I'll make it. Just hope the power stays good... stupid storms!

I'd drive full time, but coming to a track I dislike in an unfamiliar car isn't as fun! I wasn't that slow on 1 lap though which is some positves 👍

If you want another full time I'll join.
