Going to make my final decision on a car later. There's still a couple cars that are left open that I think people are overlooking.

Ay lads! Totally new series here on gtp, cool to race with new drivers. Ehh I'll probably join and I'll let you know about car by tonight most likely. 👍

I'm changing my car to the bmw too.

What happened to the Thermite and Bahamut guys? They should be invited if they aren't aware of this. Same with Razor, but he has to be online before you can reach him, obviously. Then we are almost back to the usual number of participants as we had when this peaked.

I'm think imma take a season sabbatical from the series. Or at least drop to reserve. I remembered practising the other day why I've left the game for so long. The tyre wear is utter **** from PD, I don't know what they were thinking with it. I don't want to pit 5-8 times every race and 5 lap stints, it is stupid, I want to race, not to see who can prelong their tyres the best with 20% of each race spent in the pit. Because of this I have next to no interest in GT5 at the moment and I can't see myself wanting to practice so I see no point in racing, with no interest for it. Add to the fact I'm failing to fall in love with my new car as well - whenever I seem to brake and turn in for the corner the rear end goes very light and through most corners I'm counter steering almost all the time with no mid corner grip. Fuji it wasn't too bad, but Nurb from the start of the lap to the Schumi S it's ridiculous.

So sorry, but I'm out, for this season anyway.

no,
also put more brake balance up front homme

I'm voting shorter races. Have two races a night rather than one long one, would also open up for more tracks so we won't have to scrap all kinds of tracks. And maybe get rid of the pit stop headache people are complaining about.
I like the tyre wear though - well, except from the fact that soft tyres are still the best in a long race. But I'll take anything, tbh.

@Jamman: Homme, get my setup for the 787B, it's not that bad. All you gotta do is ask, lad, I'll gladly share.

Also just a random idea: turn off tire wear and require a certain number of stops per race? Just a random idea, not expecting it to happen at all.

What was that site someone said was good to keep the standings on, it was like a spreadsheet that automatically gave you a image that you could link.

Nope, it's the one with the square smiley. A site which doesn't work half the time. Only golfer and Jamman knows its name, I think.

^ what he said

So, who wants to be my associate and keep the spreadsheet up to date, and keep some times in the lobby, so I can post a time myself..

I like bombes idea of 2 short races. Maybe not every week, but 1 day as a double header. Two small tracks too, like suzuka short and tsukuba

Going to stick with the R8. It needs 550hp though if it's weighing so much. It never was strong in a straight line. Corner speed and grip is the strong point.

First thing I did, didn't help much at all

As I said, it's not the car that's the main issue.

Not golfer, he uses his 15 minute method. I discovered gyazo. It always works, just whenever I post it on GTP it always just does that square smiley for 5-10 minutes. It always appears after that time though so it's no issue.

I said this a few pages back but it kinda got lost and no-one saw it:

Btw BK, once the points for each position are 'released', I could do the standings if you want. I'll do teams and drivers this time and also make it look better, the only reason I didn't in S5 was because I thought it would only turn out to be a temporary table lol

I'd still be happy to do this to at least stay as a part of the series :)

Hmmm... I think the C60 Hybride has top 5 pace....

But.. Not sure if I'll make the race this weekend, and next weekend I'm out of town... :(

What to think when one have just delivered the resignation? I see everything, can't speak for BK though ;)

You've played too much F1. That's the reason 💡

How about:

Suzuka short, and Tsukuba are the round 1 tracks. I think it'd be cool to at least start out with a doubleheader. Give people two chances to get a good result out of the first day.

I also like the idea of a double header race, but i don't want to see really short tracks. I'm guessing a double header, would be something like each race having 1 mandatory pitstop.

In another series i'm in, which is not LMP, but i still think it's a good idea, to eliminate Racing softs, and just have hards and mediums. But hey, that's just a suggestion.

yea it's a good suggestion, my only issue is that at some tracks, mediums only last an extra lap or 2 over softs, and feel just awful to drive on. Plus, BK doesn't believe in non-racing softs lol. Drive it like you stole it...

Mediums aren't very good and Hards are awful in terms of grip with these cars. It seems like only softs make them drive any good.
