I am VERY shocked that no street in NY was named. Here, in the news there is at least one fatality on the roads every two or so days...

 Thank goodness, no streets in Las Vegas were mentioned. I hope when I drive there, the streets will still be safe. The dangerous intersection that I know off (and driven on) is Rainier and MLK street here Seattle.

When I lived in SS, OK we used to drive to Tulsa every weekend, and cruise up & down Memorial - right through both of those intersections. I can see why they're dangerous, but never once did I see a wreck.:odd:

Kelly Square in Worcester, MA is the worst we've got around here; about 80 streets meeting at a point with no traffic lights...

Maybe its done per capita? Remember NY has a lot of people in a small area. Well in the central bit anyway.

If he's talking about New York City he's out of his mind; people never die in car accidents here unless they're a pedestrian, and I assume that doesn't count since they're trying to find the most dangerous intersection for drivers.

Hey, Miata, we've got to build a towing and body shop facility right on the corner of that intersection, what do you say?

I can't beleive that's the worst place in the country, it's really just another ordinary South Florida intersection. You have 6 lanes in the north-south direction, and 6 lanes east-west. There's a shopping mall on one corner, and shopping centers on the other corners. I don't get it...

...Oh wait, maybe it's because there's so many lousy drivers in our state, many whom can't use a voting machine. Could that be it?

It's surprising that no streets in california were mentioned.. It's crazy out here. Lots of racers, etc.

That would be perfect. . . There is a state park on the Northwest corner, a Mall Plaza on the Northeast Corner, a shopping plaza on the south west corner and a little area almost for a gas station type zone on the south east corner. . . All we'll need after that is an insurance company next to us to recommend us and us recommend them : )

It is actually funny, Dade County Drivers are by far the worst drivers in Florida. . . possibly the US to tell the truth and this intersection is part of the South portion of Broward county. . . I would think and intersection like this would be in Dade county. . . Plus the way the intersection is, it is lined up so perfectly with the sunrise and sunset it is not funny. . . In the Morning peoiple travel east to get to their jobs and in the afternoon they travel west and on flat land a sunrise and sunset are fairly impairing to the vision of a driver. . .

Well, all east-west roads do that, especially during the coming of spring and autumn; the sun faces due west during sunsets, and due east on sunrises on the Vernal and Autumnal Equinoxes. Wear your Ray-Bans.

Forgot about C.B. Smith Park! I used to go there about 15-20 years ago when both cross streets were just two-lane roads in each direction!

Ah, then you'll remember back when University Drive was a two lane back road? I was a youngin then . . . I didn't know you were well versed in my hometown. . . Interesting what a small world it is. . .

Flamingo Road was a two-laner with a deep canal and strip of guardrail bordering the west side of the road...no run-off. Now, it's 6-lanes, much safe with the canal about 20 feet away from the shoulder.

Nearly every major road has been widened here in the past 15 years. Except I-95 of course...still every bit as congested whether it's 8am on a Tuesday, or 9pm on a Sunday.

No wonder every altakaka drives a Buick around here, there's nothing to experience on the roads but stop-and-go, straightline roadways with little fun.

man I remember Flamingo when it was like that. . . I also remember when the Nation Sanctuary for Jehova's Witnesses was not located on Griffin Road by US 27. . . or it could have been the other road across the way on the other side of the canal. . . I forgot. . . Davie Road was a death trap, still is. . . 595 had nothing on either side of it. . . I find it quite amusing the expansion they have done down there. . . The houses pretty much University and west are sinking, one day I might see you on the Peninsula of Fort Lauderdale or Weszt Palm
