Honestly this game has flaws, but it's miles away from any competition that nothing really annoys me. I'm glad I got it late and so far got platinum psn trophy, got to A/S rating in sports and now I have whole rest of the game to enjoy, only got maybe 50% into "career" mode...

If I had to tell one thing is adding YAS Marina Circuit, it's such a soulless track and there are so many cool tracks around the world that would be much nicer..

After all this time and with so many EV cars being introduced in GT7, no one can still create a proper custom race with them but only one model race.....
Is there ANY reasonable explanation why you cant use EVs in custom races (as rivals) or why quick races with them are always one makes?

After 2 years of playing GT7, this is one of the most annoying things for me.

And its getting more annoying the more new EVs are added. Why this limitation?

The Porsche 996 ist missing ist oem chin spoiler lip.
The semi race exhaust for said 996 and every tuning exhaust for the 964 Turbo S has differently colored exhaust pipes left to right (not the tips).
The automatic wing on the 964 RS still doesn't work.

A friend sent me a car that they tuned and engine swapped. They said the price of the engine swap. I did it. Hmmm I didn’t get the same engine, they mixed up the swap price because it lists low to high but then once you click on engine swap it had the prices flipped. Easy mistake. But I had to spend half a million fixing the mistake.

This is why I HATE THAT THEY CANT JUST ALLOW TUNE SHARING ITS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS TO TUNE UP CARS TOGETHER THE CURRENT WAY. Geeeeeez I wish they’d fix this. Just allow tune sharing again. It’s such a wonderful feature and now we’re stuck with screenshotted three pages and trying to remember if it’s widebodied, wide tires wide offset and what rim diameter is and some aero.

Who else thinks the fact that I can’t grab a car, click share tune, send it to a friend, they click ok and it applies tune, just one huge annoying oversight?!

and sometimes those pages are in greek and you can't decipher them, what a mess !

(I know I know, I should chose my friends more carefully 😅 )

Cars that should have default rear downforce doesn't have it, like the Ford Escort Cosworth, Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth and the Plymouth Superbird, makes me a bit :grumpy:.
I think the s2000 not having the oem lip spoiler at the back, nor the traditional early model front bumber lip is a minor annoyance for me as well.

Even with English, if you’re from the UK vs CAD they name things differently. Like exhaust vs silencer. Not a big deal but almost EVERY other racing game with setups can share tunes quite easily.

I get that purchasable parts make it difficult but just like when you download a livery it makes you buy the rims and possibly aero it should give you an option to fit parts.

If a friend sends me a tune, I’d rather have a warning (it’ll cost this much since these are the parts your don’t have) than copy the sheets, especially since I have to navigate to three different places in the game to get it all setup.

I would love to be in a lobby or hosting a lobby and somebody says let’s run these (my tune) and shares that tune, we all apply and boom we’re racing.

I do love the game I’ve gotten tons of fun out of it, but the lack of tune sharing boils my blood big time.

My only real consideration to why they don't have tune sharing (apart from technical limitations which I couldn't possibly comment on) is maybe they fear the community would quickly realise, if @hawkeyez example above is accurate, that copying a shared tune is SO MUCH quicker than buying the various parts around the map. Perhaps they would be worried that it would kill the creativity? I dunno man, it's a weird one.

Good point. I don’t like to make excuses for them haha. That makes sense but from my point of view I like to be able to say to friends, oh you’ve got that tuned up or these six cars tuned to match up and perform competitively against one another? Send me the tunes. One car isn’t too bad, make it 6 cars and it’s a nightmare.

I understand some people swap out parts and tweak things just right until they have a monster tune. I have never cared about that because then it becomes a race between tunes rather than driving. I’d rather race somebody with their exact tune and maybe I tweak suspension setup to suit my driving style.

With tuning, it’s like those COD players than tweak and tweak and tweak until they find the absolute killer gun attachment setup. I don’t think that has a place in GT7 or any racing game. Setup sure, but tuning part combos. No thanks.

I think that it is a very small inconvenience compared to the QoL it represents overall.

People who love to tune and set would be able to continue, others that just want to try cool tunes or race on equal foot with their buddies would be able too, without the current headache of manually sharing tunes.

I’ve got buddies that are very good tuners. They’ve fixed cars that I otherwise wrote off such as the lancia stratos and also coming up with very fast tunes for cars that normally wouldn’t be able to handle competing against something of the same performance points.

So it’s great when I can run what they have otherwise I’m at the back of the pack or not driving cars I like but can’t figure out how to tune them.

I would welcome tune sharing with open arms polyphony digital. Hopefully you’re reading this. Haha

Maybe the main thing that may be a bad thing about sharing tunes are when it comes to certain engine swaps. If say players can share tunes for an IMSA GT RX-8 and the 787B engine is used. To average players that don’t have lots of credits, it’ll be a problem. Even a Group A DTM grid with RS 500/Gr.B swaps are expensive to build.

I’d love to share my builds. I don’t know why there is no option, but maybe PD either haven’t entertained the idea or factored in cosmetic parts costs are more attainable than complete builds with go fast parts.

Then they'll need to chose another tune, or pick another car. If the cost is displayed prior to applying, as it is done with liveries that require special parts or paints, I don't see the issue.

That's the same problem if you find a livery you really like but the car it is applied on costs 20M Cr. and you don't have it yet.

That’s not the problem we’re seeing though. A person can’t pick another car if they like the livery for the only car that can use that livery. Players searching for tunes already own the car.

Edit: Actually, right after I typed that, I had a thought of the liveries I made due to cars not in the game. Namely, my Rolex Sports Car Series. I initially used the Group C cars and then the Peugeot and then finally the GT-One. Many of us have come up with clever ways to replicate a livery on different cars. So, that’s one way to select another car.

Like Eiger Nordwand and Tokyo Expressway for example....

Easy solution, display the tune and what it will cost. You either have enough money to do it or you don’t. And if you do, you either agree to apply the tune and be deducted the amount of credits or not.

If I don’t want to mess up one of my cars I already have a tune for, I’ll be sure to have a stock version on hand for when somebody sends me a tune.

Alternatively, if I have a car that has say full weight reduction, and the tune I’m sent doesn’t, just reverse it or remove it. We pay enough credits in game we shouldn’t have to pay such huge amounts of money to give our vehicle a new chassis just to remove weight reduction. That portion I wish I could apply or not apply easily.

That’s what annoys me about this game. They treat credits like it’s real money they’re cashing in. Just like when creating a custom race, want 15 other different liveries for say a one make Camaro race? You need to buy 15 cars and paint them separately and spend the money on the tune you want.

Which brings me to another point, let’s say I want to run that race but I have several parts on my car, now every car I buy just for the custom livery, I have to go buy the parts one by one versus just sharing my own tune with myself.

I miss the days where somebody said I’d like to run these with this tune or maybe they spent time setting it up. They’d share it, in five seconds we’re racing and having a nice close race too.

This is all a huge oversight on their part and Kaz wrote it off as he thinks the current way is sufficient. It’s sufficient is a stretch but it’s definitely far from efficient.

Yeah, it's ridiculous to pay for the new body to restore the original weight and/or new engine(if not in a players stock), especially when the engine and body can be overhauled.

They could get around it and only allow tune sharing in online lobbies, doesn’t cost a thing but once you leave the lobby the car returns to its originally tuned state. Essentially just applying the shared tune for a race.

With one exception, let us save the tune, back out of the lobby and spend the money if we so please. That way if somebody has a tune for $20,000,000 car, you can use it or borrow the tune, have a fun race, save it for later if you ever have enough cash to buy a second one.

Yeah, it's a good way to just get players involved without stuffing around. Don't want to get into players should be able to just share garages in lobbies, but PD should be offering options.

Would be a quick way to offer up a car. Sometimes I can’t find something within the parameters. I’d love to just look and grab one they offer up. Of course some people would offer up a garbage one.

I’m talking more about league lobbies/friends. Being able to share between friends at the very least. And with ourselves. Oh well. They haven’t done it yet they took it away it makes no sense that’s how they roll.
