You can also put in cars that were bad in other Gran Turismos but are now good (couldn't fit in title.) My nomination for a car that was good and is now bad is the Gillet Vertigo Race Car. It was an absolute beast in GT3 but I've heard that it is bad in GT5. Sorry if there is already a thread o nthis

Supra RZ.

I miss 840hp.

To be fair, the supra isn't a piece of junk. I just wish we could pump out 1000hp out of that 2jz :P

Would be nice, I have the one in gt5 which they stop at 725. :(

Escudo. There's no use for that car now. It's so much slower than it were in GT3.

The Cobra Coupe in GT2 was always a fav of mine. Not sure if it's in GT5.

Agree on Gillet Vertigo. I had it in gtpsp. except it still sucked in gtpsp.

It's pretty good on the road courses where absolute top speed isn't a factor.

But it still gets my vote as the most craptastic.

This is the best answer, by a long shot.

I believe that it's still the quickest rally car. I could be wrong, though.

Anyone else feeling me on the Formula GT? Perhaps not "junk", but definitely a disappointment.

Sauber and the Formula GT is a close second.

I just think it's dumb there are races dedicated to standard cars. Either make the Formula GT a premium car or allow other F1 cars in the race series. This goes for the truck race as well. Not dissing on the game I still love it but come on how hard would it have been to render one less Ferrari F1 and make the GT one premium...or make it an F1 race in general instead of only GT.

I guess they have to sell the idea of standard cars being cool?

I agree, at least considering the FGT is supposed to be a better performer than both Ferrari F1 cars, they should have made it premium at the very least.

The Pescarolo C60 Judd '04. Easily my favorite in GT4, feels like its on ice in GT5, and cant cope with bumps either(I usually use softer suspension settings, but just doesn't work on this car)

OK it's hard for me to say this but..............787B.

I know definitely not junk but surely not the car it once was in GT.

No way! Besides, it has the best sounding motor in the game!

It has the best sounding motor in the world, in the game it leaves a little to be desired.

I have a decent stereo. Compared to the other cars in the game, it's just flat out wicked. Racing wise, it's not the fastest, but it gets the job done.

Can you believe that FGT has the same downforce with Group C/LMPs! & the Ferraris have the same downforce with X1!!

Escudo. There's no use for that car now. It's so much slower than it were in GT3.

The problem with the Escudo is the X2010. Everything is slower once you race one of them. (just look at everyones time for Le Mans and the Nurburgring)

Escudo in my opinion is still in the top 5 cars on the game, but like the FGT it's been a bit underwhelming compared to some of the newer cars.

What about the GTOs?? they used to be monsters back in GT1 and 2. Now, theyre hardly heard of!!!

3000GT VR-4 (4WD) aka the GTO Twin Turbo. Used to be a 1070+hp beast. It was always on par alongside the Skyline. Because everyone was so into the Skyline, I wanted an alternative, and found it in the 3000GT/GTO TT. It is to the Skyline, what the Evo' is to the Impreza. They didn't even give it the honor of the "Premium" treatment... It's still a great car, but now it doesn't even touch 700hp fully tuned. (off topic, Mitsubishi needs to come out with a new model like they did with the Evo' & Eclipse with the gray front fendor, that'd be a dream...).

I'm surprised at the negative comments on the FGT, it may not have a very high top speed but after the RedBulls and Ferrari's, they must be the quickest around most of the tracks?

I've done over 80,000 miles on GT5 but over half of these were in FGT's, I think they are good cars.

As for the 787B, most of us have an all time favourite car, well the Mazda is mine. Not the fastest, but as an allround car, it's damn good.

Agree with the negative comments on the Escudo

On the contrary, FGT has higher top speed than the Ferraris, but they don't go pinpoint around most corners as the Ferraris.

The Sauber isn't a piece of junk. Don't blame the car if you can't drive it properly.

Who said it was "junk" ? I said it was a disappointment from GT4 to GT5. Don't tell me I can't drive it Smokey. ;) It's my opinion.

Don't think Ferrari would have agreed for their F1 cars to be included if they were going to be out performed ...

You're responding to a thread titled Cars that were good in past Gran Turismos but are now pieces of junk by just naming the car. I obviously read it as Sauber=junk. Sorry if I misinterpreted.

I said it was a disappointment from GT4 to GT5.

You did? That make things clearer.

The early iterations of the GTR...the R32, R33, R34. These were monstrosities in the previous games, but now they have been severely toned down. I don't think any of these cars go over 600 hp fully tuned.
