So, here's a list of the "rumored" games to be present at this years Tokyo Game Show.

The list was "said" to have been leaked by a "Sony Employee"...so take it with a grain of salt!


Devil May Cry 4 (Possible)
Resident Evil 5 (Possible)
Assassin's Creed (Probable)
Siren 3 (Unlikely)
Killzone 3 (Highly Unlikely)
Grand Theft Auto IV (Super Duper Highly Unlikely)Fatal Frame 4 (Possible)
Metal Gear Solid 4 (Likely)
Final Fantasy XIII (Likely)
Tekken 6 (Likely)
Silent Hill 5 (Possible, but I'd go nuts if it is)
SpiderMan 3 (Eh...possible)
Onimusha 5 (Unlikely? Who really knows)
Kingdom Hearts 3 (Unlikely, probably false)
Shadow of the Colossus sequel (probably false as well)God of War 3 (Definately false)
Ninja Gaiden 2 (umm...?)
Battlefield 3 (believed to be Battlefield 2142) (Eh, I wouldn't count on it)
Zone of the Enders 3 (Proably false)

Really? I thought it was 2007... :boggled:

But even still, you would think PD would show a small clip of GT5 on actual PS3 hardware. :indiff:

When is this show? Sounds like Sony will make a splash, but are Nintendo expected to do the same?

If it's gonna be anything like GT4, then it will be like this: P.D. shoots for Q4 2007 release, but comes up with the official release date of Q3 2008 instead. Game will be released around Q1 of 2009. :p

i rather wait until its finished than to see yearly updates that don´t change a thing like EA does with some of their franchises. they just can´t make GT5 that fast. give then time. i think we will like the result...

they will only show clips when the game engine is ready. and i expect they to show some GT5 at TGS. i really think that they wanted to show GT5 at E3. KY does not make public apearences, speacialy in the US. for then to be embaressed and show a high def version of GT4, it was clear to me that they coulnd´t get the engine ready to show like they intended to. i would be very surprised if they don´t show GT5 at TGS.
 
Kaz stated that he didn't want to show anything at E3 but Sony told him he needed to, that's why he knocked up GT:HD. GT5 was never going to be ready to display anything meaningful at E3, and he didn't want to be wasting time creating target footage.

So, that's why Kaz looked so pissed off at this year's E3...

I hope Resident Evil 5 will be shown. It's been over a year since that little footage was released.
 
I cant wait to see what the games developers have come up with especially the stuff we havent seen yet like Silent Hill as these games always look ace, plus im sure we may get some info on Wipeout for the PS3, maybe no video but maybe some screen shots of target renders or actual in-games stuff.

Cant wait, TGS is always the best show.
 
Well, so far some of those titles have made their way to the cut. I still think a lot of them are Rumor only.

Still waiting for SH5 announcements :(

Heh-heh, looks like I was correct. 2008. At least we'll get Ferrari.

Check this out... I saw this at a TGS website and the details blew me away. The game looks kinda cool.

This is good thread recycling, we can post all the latest news and 'stuff' from the show here :)

Im not to bothered waiting for GT5 till 2008..... as long as its better than heaven when it does! :lol:
 
I've seen that before, if you look in the dictionary you'll find it under the definition of "photorealistic"

Edit: Is that real or in game? Looks to clean to be fmv.
 
WOW, yeah that its amazingly realistic, you can tell its not a real photo because of the tracks and the boards closest to you in the picture and also the support beams for the thing itself, there alittle bit of jaggyness and burry bits.

......but still thats the most real PS3 pic ive seen so far, and its a train game! Its going to sell like hot cakes in Japan, if it looks that good maybe I will buy it!

But its high level of realism makes me wonder if its just photos layered onto a 3d canvas much like some of the scenery in gt4 like the grand canyon...

One thing about the backgrounds in GT4 is Polyphony used techniques either that others have used themselves or pioneered a few on their own. Have you noticed that in tracks like El Capitain how the backgrounds aren't static bitmaps, but fully 3D? I wandered around the track one day and marvelled at how the scenery was fully three dimensional and reached right down to the trackside. The perspective changes on the mountains as you drive around, and I believe it's the same with the Grand Canyon. It's totally amazing how they modelled and textured everything. And remember, this is on the almost archaic PS2.
 
Saw this trailer from TGS. White Knight's Story (Approximately 110MB for download).
A Japanese RPG with characters that do look fairly typical of Japanese RPG's. But the enviroments and visuals! If this is in game (and I assume it is) then it looks fantastic. It puts Oblivion in the shade, though it may not be free roaming like Oblivion. Well worth a look and one to get.
 
Ah yes, the booth babes. And trust Tecmo to show the most skin! And since E3 is essentially no more the TGS maybe the only place to see them. A good thing, some would say. But not me!
