well i am sure all of you know about the top gear track being in gran turismo 5, and we know that gt5 will have electric cars in it, so maybe that means that top gears own electric car will be in it! the i-eagle thrust hammerhead! what do you think? imagine this against the tesla roadster :) or maybe its prototype: goeff?
what do you think?

Outrun, welcome to GTPlanet.

Please do yourself and all of us a favor by using proper capitalization and punctuation in your posts. It is a small thing to point out but attention to detail really does help keep the quality of this forum high.

Thanks!

Not another single car wishlist(not being naggy but i'm surprised you did not close it Duke!!)

The Hammerhead Eagle-i Thrust(previously known as Geoff) was just a pathetic garage project, which someone shouldn't waste their time modeling and designing to put in a video game, or even to do a road test on.

I guess if they put it in, it would just be another one of those cars that serves no purpose in the game, like the Benz Motor Wagen or the Auto Union V16 from GT4.

I would much rather they put something useful in like the Suzuki Liana and Chevrolet Lacetti so that we could do are own 'star in a reasonably priced car' laps. They should also have them modelled with the roll bars and racing seats.

Robin.

I hope that PD doesn't need to ditch Top Gear features from the game. I read that the BBC is intending to make a game themselves (or at least make some developer do it):

It's unlikely it will effect anything on the PS3 as they are concentrating on Nintendo and web based games. It's been mentioned before and it's also in the article you've referenced ;)

Don't worry, looks like they're only making Nintendo and web based games. Article below from TheSixthAxis

http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2010/01/22/itv-bbc-to-make-games/

The BBC have recently announced they will start developing games based on its big hits such Doctor Who, Top Gear and In The Night Garden for DS, Wii and ‘online’ (they mean Facebook). No mention of our favourite consoles which is surprising, especially when many reports show making money from a Wii or DS game is pretty hard due to the over saturation of the market. ITV have now said they wish to expand their presence in the games market. Do you want to know their exciting sales pitch?

“The Krypton Factor is a great vehicle for corporate staff training so developing this as a tool for commercial and public use gives added dimension. Emmerdale and Bullseye also lend themselves to fun family-orientated gaming.”

:)

GT4 was meant to celebrate the history of cars in general, so it was appropriate to include the very first one ( Benz ) and i liked the Auto Union, okay it wasn't easy to drive, but you have to see it in the context of its time.

I surely hope it will also be in GT5, unlike that Top Gear shed which only purpose was to entertain for 15 minutes in an TV entertainment show.

I actually really liked the fact that they included that Mercedes steam powered pram in GT4. I only drove it only once but it was worth it to bring home just how far the horseless carriage has come in the last couple of billion years. Also when you drive that thing, flat out, at half the speed of a toddling baby, you wonder how it ever caught on in the first place.

I liked it too, you also had that Daimler which was slightly more like what the car would eventually become, they were both petrol powered though.
Thank God the steam engine never caught on as a mainstream option.
Imagine how often it would rain.......

I for one will be extremely dissapointed if the Hammerhead Eagle i-Thrust is not included in the final game.:nervous:

It would be easy for the producers to make. about 150 polygons and the physics of an Autobianchi Abarth.

Don't diss the Autobianchi please:irked:, it's a great handling car if you set it up properly.
It's like a slightly bigger Italian Mini, cannot compare it with that Top Gear vehicle which by the way, if you watched the episode, was based on a TVR.

based on a TVR, with twice the weight and half the power. There are so many other, more interesting cars than that.

Better than any boring Daihatsu or Izuzu.

But it's about as safe to drive as a tiger and can't even climb a hill properly.

I'm surprised this hasn't been locked yet. Not only should it be in the wishlist, but it doesn't even deserve to.

Lighten up will you, its just a bit of fun. That car was a beast ;)

NO, the TG electric car is a piece of junk, it doesnt deserve to be in, however, with dozens of complete crap cars in the game PD cannot be trusted to keep it out

Good on ya, Paulie. It's the "crap" cars that make GT what it is. Most people drive "crap" cars...

That electric car I could do without, by the way. An Opel Kadett would be interesting, however!
