The ultimate troll in a car's form.
Back when it came to the racing circuit it made such an impact and totally disturbed (trolled) McLaren team in Can-Am.
40 years later, on GT5 it's trolls continue.
Now, the point of this thread is do you agree or disagree, did you get trolled by the 2J, I know I have.
Love the car now, it's one of my "holy grail" cars in GT5.
 
Met one yesterday in that car against my Ford GT but won both times.
 
It's a pain on tight courses like cote d'azure, never really encountered it outside of A spec though so can't really comment on actual drivers...
 
Absolutely VILE looking thing :yuck: I don't care how fast it is, it'll never darken my garage :grumpy:
 
I never get trolled, human or otherwise.
 
Got trolled once at the historic race in a-spec. And I was expecting someone to put that trollface.. :lol:
 
Very awesome, and very trollish. It just looks like it lives under a bridge.
 
I didn't have a clue about this car, started the race with them in, saw it, I was like :dopey: "I'm going own that fat square box car". Started, it just shot off and was like 3 corners ahead in 1 minutes.

Defiantly imagined the troll face on it:

So far its trolls have failed against me. But it's just the slow A.I., I have yet to face the humans.

That car is so mad, it's art, enough said.
I'll use it for 24h of Nurburgring...oh wait...no headlights.
 
I love it, probably the 3rd best car in the game. Beaten over 20 races in B-Spec with it. I've only encountered them in that mode oddly enough.

I haven't really seen one online. Mostly in the drift rooms you get someone coming in with an X1 crashing into people an stuff.

But I'd think the 2J would be a bigger nuisance. Doesn't it reverse as fast as it goes forward? I heard that somewhere, and haven't bought one to find out. Had one in GT4, but never heard of that, so never tried it.

The tank car has to be the real-life troll mobile. The #1 made-up troll mobile in GT5 has to be the x1. I'm not a fan of the Veyron since it's just so heavy, but I wouldn't call it a troll.
 
I think the design is similar to the handling. Hard and careless.

Also, the Tank Car is more of a "what if" than a trollmobile (apart from beein used online to ram other people).
X2010 is the car which makes you rage online, but I wouldn't call it a troll.
Veyron is a horrible car, it's only good in a straight line.
The 2J on the other hand - trolled other racing teams back in 1970 (mostly McLaren) and it's trolls continue on GT5, c'mon, who hasn't gotten mad at it in at least one point in GT5 A or B spec (Historic Racing Car Cup to be precise)?
I mean, just imagine Chaparral developers back in 1970, how they got the idea to use a loophole in regulation system to create this masterpiece, I bet their faces when they came up with the idea for 2J were like this:

I'd have to say it's a three way tie between the Veyron, the X1, and the Tank Car. I'd like to hear somebody who hasn't been intentionally rammed by one of those cars. :dunce:
 
I troll with an Autobianchi A112 Abarth. I don't really think the 2J classifies much as a troll. It's a race car.
 
Jim Hall was the only guy who actually cared about AERODYNAMICS and HANDLING in the United States (I think in Eurpoe aswell), while the other racing teams only cared about beating the top speed record. That's why the 2J was and is the Trollmobile.

I have both Chaparral's in GT5 and they are my favorite.

There were also complaints from other drivers saying that whenever they drove behind it the fans would throw stones at their cars.

Oh, and yes, I've been trolled by the 2J in B-Spec. I had to borrow another 2J from a friend here at GTP.
 
They need to bring back Active Ground Effects for racing, imagine the possibilities.
