Saturday's fine with me. I also wasn't very surprised to hear that GTS-R_MAN dropped out.

No one is tumbling down on you, not sure of your point.
You declined the challenge and thats it. :bawling: :D
Dont take it so seriously and I cant understand why you dont like to buy and mod a car. If your not good at it, well here is your chance to shine. ;)
Misnblu
There is still time to do this you know.  :D

Than saturday it is. Just PM me your times and Ill post them after I get them all. I think it will be just us three.

So we will take the qualifying in Monaco Amateur league, European Championship with the cars we have chosen previously, and pm you our best lap.

Yes!!! And you have all day to run laps. So as long as I get them tonight with enough time to post them lets say 10:00 PM Pacific Standard time.

Thanks for the time limit. I will try my best to get them by the allocated time.
Misnblu

I just turned in my time.

porsche.gif
) ;)

Edit: Included the full stats

Pictures from this weekend:

mirabeau.jpg

Mirabeau. Yeah, anything is a pretty view compared to the great curve coming up. I ended up cutting off some time by "cheating" using rally-style emergency brakes. I'm new to this sorta thing.

chicane.jpg

This is as close as I got to the tires on the chicane. For safety reasons this sort of hazard is now a point deduction rather than a safety concern on the real course nowadays.

rufswim.jpg

No worries past the swimming pool. With the Honda logos in the background, the RUF looks a bit like the S2000. Weird.

Ok here are the qualifying times for the race.

Pole sitter in the lotus motorsport Jonik with a time of 1'33.828

2nd we have f1king in the tuscan speed6 with a time of 1'35.308

I did not get a time for qualifying for misnblu but he will start in third, since his been supporting this thread from the start.

Frozenburrito allthough you didnt give me your time until after the deadline so youll start in 4th in the RUF RGT with a time of 1'38.748.

So to recap:

1st Jonik 1'33.828 Lotus
2nd f1king 1'35.308 TVR
3rd misnblu N/A NSX
4th Frozenburrito 1'38.748 Ruf

Ok good luck in the race, and congrats Jonik on your pole. :)

Race: you have untill Monday the 8th to turn your race times in.
I would like you to do the race once only and let it be, but if you do it more than once I wont know so I guess you can do that, but I trust you guys so lets keep it clean.

You need to give the T1 and T2 times and lape time for each lap, and finally the total time it took you to do the three lap race. PM me your times, and they are FINAL once I get your message thats it.

???

My time was in before 10:00 PM Pacific.

The first was sent at 6:55 PM.
The updated time (with the full car stats) was sent at 8:13 PM.

Not that it matters much as we have a real race to enjoy, but all the same, I was in within the required time and I'd like the record to reflect that.

What more do you want?
tonight with enough time to post them lets say 10:00 PM Pacific Standard time

Edit: Added a quote

No you gave me your specs on the car to late it was due in before Friday night. Everyone else posted them on Friday. Race entery was late.

For the record:

Specs were late (not in by Friday as I submitted them with the race results.)

The race time was indeed submitted before the race deadline.

If you want to penalize the guy for pre-race inspection and reward the no-show racer, so be it, it is your league. Your name isn't Tony George by any chance?

Just so I don't miss out in the future, can you elaborate on what the T1 and T2 times are? I know what the lap times are.

I want to be clear on what I will be submitting:

T1 (what is this?)
T2 (")
Lap one time
Lap two time
Lap three time
Total Time

Well, I dont even come close to those times so I concede in defeat.
Im out of this competition and need to go back to driving school.
Later all.
Misnblu

Well at monaco the track is broken up into 3 parts. When you race youll see twice a lape a time on your screen that appears on Green thats your T time at monaco theres T1 and T2 and the finish line that gives your lap time. for each lap youll have three times T1, T2, and lap time.

I realy hated Tony George when he first came on, but know I think he's not such a bad guy. Well if you throws in some road courses to his series I think IRL will sadly take over as the US #1 open wheel series. Cart is dying.

misnblu I dont think you should not race just because you arent fast, it does not matter this is just a game.

Is there a way to get T1 and T2 times without pausing the game in the middle of the race?

I tried racing tonight and deleted the game after after pausing/unpausing the T1 time on Lap 2 because of a button mispress.

It seems like a lot of work to go to when all that is really needed is out final time (and best time would be fun to know as well.)

Can we ignore the T times and just go for total and best lap times? I'm not a very good driver as it is and pausing/unpausing to write down a number on non-straightaways destroys what little rhythm I have.

Misnblu:
The more the merrier. I'm plenty of seconds off even the next best, but the driving is what is fun and I'm getting the chance to work on improving my skill while learning from others at the same time. It would be a shame to lose you. :(

Regarding the IRL:
I'm not a fan of Tony George at all. In my view he is 80% responsible for the demise of Cart. Cart is dying because of him, and IRL (most importantly the type of racing in IRL--if I wanted to watch cars go around in circles I would watch NASCAR) is no substitute for Cart.

All you have to do is finish the race and watch the replay it has it on there too, so you can pause it on the replay and write it down during the replay.

Tony George well I cant disagree with you on that he is the #1 reason for carts probs. I dont really like him, I just like that someone put F1 at indy thats all.

Ill follow it but as far as improving, dont know there.
Im just a bit frustrated and it really has nothing to do with the racing or even gtplanet.
It hasnt been a good weekend so there lies the problem.
I just wasnt in the mood to run and race and nothing went right on Saturday hence the late entry to f1king.
Ill keep tabs on the whats going on and dont think Im over any of the competitions, there will be more.
Better days ahead and good luck to all still in the competition. :D
Misnblu

im not in the competition but my RUF looks a lot better than yours FB its white with black tires i dont have a cam to take pics but mine is way better looking than yours!

Hehe.

I'm sure it does. I'm not a Porsche fan, but at the track I like to see the white ones fly by too.

I went with red because it was in the back of the garage feeling lonely with 0 miles on it. :D
