I like the track and I like how we are on sports tires.

Good choices my man, good choices... I'll try to get some laps in tonight.

Well, did some practice runs and tried a session...

My driving style on Strong tire wear plus Sport Softs = failing grip towards lap 7...

That, and the R8 has better brakes than the RUF... :ouch:

Well I have a few questions/remarks to make...

First, seems like I'm running the heaviest car of the bunch without a power upgrade over the others. This wouldn't be a huge problem if there was no tyre wear, but there is and it's set to strong.

I've ended my first attempt at this a few minutes ago, but didn't quite make it to the finish, because my rears were almost red by the start of lap 9. Lap 9 was a disaster and I still had one more lap to go. Never ended the 10 lap journey I set myself to complete.

So I ask: those who already tried it, felt the need to change tires??? I'll have to use S2's and I'll be dancing or I'll have to pit... This brings no fun to my race, if no one else pits, I'll end up at the bottom of the boards... :scared:

Well, I went out and tested the ZZ-II. With its extra 70 or so HP and weighing 150 KG, plus the AWD helping out of corners, after 3 laps of hot lapping, its 3-4 seconds faster than me in the RUF Yellowbird. And thats with pushing the RUF to the limit.

Do you want use to tweak the power/weight settings at all on these cars Jet?

Azeve, I'm in the same boat... Except my tires start turning red around lap 7... what is the weight of your car? I'm at 1150kg, but like I said regarding the ZZ-II, it is in every way a better car, with less weight and more power...

I found the limit to the CTR2... Mmmm late breaking..

:p times later

:slaps face. Hard: I can't believe I just forgot that. All of it. Oh my. Shoot me now. Yeah, I need to tweak most of them. :( I'm sorry guys. Idiocy at best. I'll have those stats in a little bit and then they'll be placed in the first post.

My GT weighs 1451 kg if I'm not mistaken. The ZZ-II also as the AWD advantage :scared:

Okay, gents, read the first post. This might clarify a few things.

Now, some points to mention. I'm not honestly sure that the ZZII is restricted enough. The settings may change over time if it still proves to be too quick. While the Caddy and the Ford GT can have the same specs, the GT gets cut a little to compensate for the Caddy's slow tranny. The rest of the cars are well within the same specs. I hope that this turns out well.

I'll see how this works, but I would rather have less weight than more power to keep tires alive longer :goofy:

But this should help out quite a bit in leveling the playing field. I'll test the ZZ-II some as well, if you would like.

Update: All right, Yellowbird is now closer to the old ZZII's speed... just hard to drive.

Concerned, because it looks like I'll have to go to S2 on the rear, and I am already having ALOT of trouble keeping this beast from spinning out when it gets air born. ZZII doesn't have this issue as it has much more downforce... freaking amazing car I must say. I'll keep at it.

BTW, do you have a problem with us bumping the AI on accident when it does its random slow down/brake mid corner thing? I going into corners matching its speed, knowing I can take the turn, and then they get BACK on the brakes. Driving me nuts.

I dunno... I got caught up in Diablo 2 again... totally spaced on this, been very busy at work too, so kinda just too lazy to setup up my DFP again for the last week... arg.

Jose
I still have my results, but never submitted them... What happened to this comp?
I've just fallen out of it. I still have the interest; the spark is still there, but my job is taking over my life. This will have to be postponed indeffinitely. Not forever, but.... I just can't squeeze it into the schedule anymore. :(
