here's a couple pictures right after we set it up, not the best quality but you get the idea. we're able to make the screen 21' big diagonally if we had enough room to extend the projector back, but for now we're playing it at 96" (8 feet)
have pc, ps2, xbox, and digital cable tv all hooked up to the projector.
projector is an InFocus X1A, give or take $1000, we got ours at BestBuy.
the image quality is superb. we're playing it on a basic white wall and so we have to deal with a small amount of gloss and texture, but overall its quite unnoticable.

Is it possible to make a setup like this? With 3 tvs, 3 ps2 and 3 gt4s? I presume they use 4 ps2's, i've seen this system more often, Sega's F355 used it and also needed 4 computers. 1 for each screen and 1 to make m all work together.

Yes, you can do up to ten this way with GT4 and six with the previous games.

Godly Setup.......but i got you beat i have a projector that doubles that screen ........projecter is so good i will be actually in the game.....j/k....still very nice setup :) :) :) 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

Does anyone know how to hook up 3 monitors like this? Do you need an i-link hub? Are there in-game options in GT4 for it? I couldn't find any multi-monitor options in GT3.

In Chicago they had both GT4 Prologue and GT Concept. You could play either Tsukuba or Grand Canyon on GT4P and either Midfield or Swiss Alps on Gt Concept. For anyone else who goes, please post your times so i can see what others are achieving.

Thanks for the info. How long do they let you drive for? I would hope after waiting you get to do more than one lap.:scared: Oh yea, is there a prize for being the fastest driver at the end of the Chicago show, and if so what is it?

Thomas, did you beat my time? Or someone else's? I would love to know....
Thanks,
Colin

Colin, you broke the record on prologue, and someone else broke it on concept Either Thomas or Alex, I can't remember the name.

As a side note, someone please get me out of Biology now... please....

Check the pic below... I found it on a news server in Brazil, with absolutely NO details on how to do it.

The Prologue simulator has a 3 minute time limit :grumpy: and the Concept simulator has a 1 or 2 lap limit (im not sure but it is about 1:35 as a record)

is it possible to set up the screens like this at home? without the movement of course?

i got 2 15" monitors i just need one more and i got 1 vga box already.. maybe if i get

3 total monitors w/ 3 vga boxes
3 playstations
3 gt4/gt3 disks
hub( ilink for gt3)

once i have all that how do i get it all to work???

i saw a set up somewhere that used fresnel lenses to make the screens appear seamless.. would be cool to set that up im sure it would cost alot but how cool would it look!!!

To answer a few questions, first of all, to the one who wanted out of Biology: I feel your pain.

I played at about 4:00 Saturday on GT Concept. I had the top time (1:35.39) until at least 6:00 p.m. They said there would be a prize for the fastest person each day, but probably only a jacket or something.

Hey, I think you were in line right behind me, were you wearing a black shirt?

Nope, blue. I was in line behind some boy scouts. It was amazing; when I got in line there were 2 in front of me, and by the time I was getting toward the front there were 9. (Kind of funny tho, they were arguing about whether or not one of them was 5' tall, when none were more than 4'5")

Go to this site to check out some sweet pictures of a 3-screen setup. Includes complete instructions in Japanese. :)

Holy crap those pictures look amazing!!! MAN.. i really wish i could do this.. i dunno money money money..

i would need one more 17inch monitor $50
2 more vga boxes and $60x2 = $120
2 more play stations and $130 x2 = $260
2 more gt4 discs ( i have one pre ordered ) $45 x2 = $90

so for me that would be $ 520

but the benefits of this are that i get the ability to play with up to 2 friends without using a split screen... hmmm... i have to think about this.

I think that I might have all the things needed to do something like that (aside from GT4 :( ) I don't have one of those White system links either but I have 3 Zentith 27in LCD screens, Maybe I will set one up and charge people to pay.

The white systems link box is just a regular ethernet hub. If you don't have one already, you should be able to get one inexpensively from your local computer stores.

100K? Could you elaborate on why it would cost that much?
It probably costs so much because when your driving it forces you back into the seat. When you brake it goes forward. When you crash it moves around. I saw it a the Chicago Auto Show, but i didnt have enough time. The graphics looked great on those tv's.

^^^^^^^^^ Totally agree with the above statement. I went out and bought an Evo VIII for the price of this thing, and I can do it for real. It looks like the F355 challenge set-up, or the Nacscar store at the Mall of America in Minnesota!

O.K. guys, PREPARE TO WET YOURSELF!!

Force Dynamics have just released a brand new video of someone playing Richard Burns Rally in their new 301 Motion Cockpit simulator. The speed and range of movement on this thing must be seen to be believed! It's makes that Subaru GT4 motion cockpit look like GARBAGE in comparison.

Suffice to say, I am thinking of ways to finance this puppy!

So without further ado, click on the link below:

Have you guys seen that online ad for home version GT4 seat? It basicly a bed frame that has a Momo seat welded to it, and a flat spot for you wheel. It was like $600!! I saw it here on on the Live for Speed game site. Im just going to make one out of scrap 1/4" and powdercoat it. You can get fake Recaro's on ebay for $120usd. Good headphones hooked to your amp sound as good as 6speaker surround. Plus the nieghbors dont complain. The 3x screens are nice. I looked into Video splitters just repeat the image on multiple monitors.

LoL- sit on a Hoover Vacuum to replate sitting in the Toyota Turbine jet car (win all 4x4)

CRAZY!
i like how the guy crashes, then he looks around like "ok ok i f'ed up, how do i get off this thing"

i like how the entire contraption BOUNCES when he crashes, guess it needs to be bolted down for safety or something.
