- You want what for it!?
Hi all.
As i'm sure you're all car fans, I wonder what you think will happen to GT's strategy towards the tuning sector in GT5. As you are probably aware, the new R35 GT-R has been highlighted as a star for the upcoming game and has been displayed as the cover car for GT5 prologue. The thing is, when the R35was launched, it was said to be 'untuneable' because of the sophisticated computer and electronic systems. I wonder whether GT5 will allow us to tune this thing like we did with the R32's etc. It is most likely that you have driven the car in prologue and know what it's capable of, but will we be able to improve that performance any more than, say, an exhaust system? If GT was focused on creating the best and most realistic approach ever seen in a racing sim, is the GT-R going to be left behind when everyone gets the money flowing and begins to modify their vehicles? But, and it's a big but, the 'untuneable' has been modified in the real world by some individuals and modification companies. Showing that the GT-R can be tuned to an extent. This means that they have two choices here - follow on with the love and showcasing of the GT-R in Nissan's desired form or, go against what Nissan says let us "personalise" the car a bit. If they did go down that latter path, what kind of image do you think Nissans engineers and technologies would have placed upon them, and would it spoil the image?
