I think it's hard to look at the list of cars in GT5 in an objective way mainly because people have different tastes in cars. For example, GT5 has been criticized by a lot of people for being too focused on Japanese cars. This is something I agree with, but if someone is a big fan of Japanese cars, this maybe a non-issue to that person. Another good example is the large inclusion of non-performance vehicles or everyday mass production cars we see in droves on the streets and highways. Some people say these cars are a waste and would rather see more exotic and higher performing cars (basically machines most average people may never get to drive in their lives), while some people enjoy the inclusion of such cars, seeing it as unique in a world where video game developers only want to include the hottest and most popular vehicles at the time (to prove my point, play some racing games from ten years ago and you'll probably find a car that a lot of titles had in it at the time but today is very sparse or non-existent).
The other thing is GT5's line-up is compared to Forza's line-up quite often, and the consensus I've seen is that while Forza has less cars, it is considered "more well rounded" in that it doesn't focus too much on one area (i.e. Japanese cars) and has more desirable vehicles (not as many plane Jane mass production cars).
So given how the opinions can vary from one end to the other, what are your thoughts on GT5's car list?
