Race, I guess...

WWYDI: You are in Super Speedway, trying to pull off some last scond slipstream to win the race. But the car in front of you is driving like crazy.

Problably lose

this one actually happened to me:
WWYDI you're on the 'Ring in a Yellowbird going into the first banked hairpin (it's proper name escapes me) your brakes start fading at a rapid rate (God knows how excellent the Yellowbird's brakes are. :ouch:) You're going in too hot and the rear end wants to come out and play. WWYD?

Forget about being graceful, slam into the wall and ride it all the way round, thanking the lord for there being no grass on the outside of that corner :sly:

WWYDI: You were on lap (example) 99/100 of an endurance race, and after driving hours through the night, you mistook it for the last lap, and spun the car over the line for a laugh. You then suddenly realise you have another lap left, are facing the wrong way, and the car in second place is gaining fast. (did this on gt2 :scared:)

Would take a deep breath, check tires condition (if there are any tires after those spuns) and try to drive my car as an Alfa Romeo in License tests (extremely understeering). Just try to make an "exact" lap, with no mistakes.

And, obviously, check mirror each 2 seconds.

WWYDI you achieved 1 minute of advantage in a particular endurance. But, in the last 20 laps you know that ONLY YOU can bring the car home safely with those red tires without pitting in.

Suddenly, your 6-year old sister drops her Barbie "Train-Machinist" Edition right on your hand. You pause the game and scream in pain. Go to the doctor and your hand is now immobilized.

So:

You keep PS2 turned on until you can play again and finish the endurance?

OR

You trust in B-SPEC mode so it can bring your car safely to the pits, change the tires and secure an endurance win, even knowing that it is a 200 pt race?

I'd keep it on. My PS2 is still running strong (five years later), so I doubt it will overheat.

WWYDI: You are in a Yellow FD and a Trueno SS zooms past? It seems fast, but would you challenge it, or not and lose your reputation?

What's a yellow FD?

I'd answer if I knew!

WWYDI: The AI slams you into the wall and you either get revenge or win?
{This is for 150pts., on 30 laps of Hong Kong}

I would just win and go to another race with that same AI later and bash it up:tup: :)

An 'FD' as it is commonly known is simply an RX-7, though this is the third-gen which was built between 1992-2002.

I'd pike his arse later in the series, strategiaclly into, say, the final S-bends on Suzuka so he gets stuck on the barrier and finishes a humiliating last.

So, WWYDI you're on the last lap of the Nür 4 hour, coming onto the final straight. You have a bone-stock Holden Monaro that tops at 160 and a fire-breathing NSX 3.2 seconds behind you that hits 171. [normally, without drafting.] You both have that brilliant shade of orange on the tire moniters. Do you...

A) Block him on the straight; risk getting sput out from the impact of a 185 mph hit.
B) Let him pass and hope he loses it while you maintain a steady, clean pace.
C) Let him pass, draft him, and punt him into the barrier.
D)Try, for fun, to take him on pit road.

Had it happen before. ;)

Probably C. But why 185 mph? Is the NSX drafting you?

WWYDI: You were in the RUF Yellow Bird. Its a back-heavy car so you spin out at Trial Mountain. A super 4WD Subaru, which has great handling, is seconds behind you.

I'd probably drive in the middle of the track and hope he hits me into a position that I can floor the gas and drive off.
I like the idea of multiple choice so...
WWYDI you were in a toyota yaris on the corkscrew at laguna seca on lap 23/30 with dark orange front tires and green rear tires, with a scion Xa trailing exactly 2.715 seconds behind you with yellow front tires and blue green rear tires and a VW polo 3.500 second behind you with blue front and rear tires because he recently came out of the pits. Suddenly your steering locks up and you slide off track at the corkscrew! You slide backwards until your year hits the tire wall! You see the Xa getting closer and closer! Finally they pass you while you struggle to get back on track and you finally get back in your groove 2.670 seconds behind the polo.
Would you...
A)Pit njow because your tires are red in the front and hope that the other cars pit before the race is over?
B)Chase them until the race is over, hoping you can draft the cars long enough to pass them?
C)Restart the entire race?
D)Wait until they pit so you can pit also, and then pass them after with good driving skills?
E)Other(please explain in your post)

WWYDI: Subaru 360 Race :scared: REAL LIFE 🤬

Get out and run it.:sly:

Mini's Q: A...I would just get ticked off trying to drive an FF with red fronts.

WWYDI: You are at 96/100 laps on the Enduro at Tokyo 246 in GT3, and the power goes out. You wait a month to even turn the game on again and the same thing happens at 99/100 laps.

A) Never play GT3 again.
B) Never race that race again.
C) Try again.
D) Race again in Formula GT...get it done ASAP.
E) other...

I didn't make any of this up...

I take E) other. Invest in a 240 volt generator, but someone with your luck would run out of fuel (for the generator) at lap 99.5.

WWYDI after passing mission 34 for the first time, your memory card gets corrupted?

Good Question. Id probably drift it out if the tires were really super uber red.

I cant do a WWYDI so someone else do it.

I like doing these!
On a race at Trial Mountain, your Supra RZ was driving on lap 43/50 behind a hot Ruf in bright yellow, with an NSX only a second behind you, another RUF a second and a half behind him, a lancer 1 second behind him, and a subaru imprezza 2 seconds behind him. You have just come out of the pits and so has the imprezza. The NSX, lancer, and two RUFs pit in 7, 8, 5, and 4 laps ago accordingly. Distracted by the bright color of the RUF in front, you forget to brake on the last chicane and careen at the hill! Your car is flying through the air when you land sideways! You can see the orange NSX out of the corner of your eye and you know this will be an issue. Despite the AI's normal bad habits the NSX finds a way arround but you are sure you won't get as lucky with your other opponents so, now that you are only going 35 miles per hour, you decide to____________________________.

I'd like to see some WWYDI's imagining it's real life or GT5 if possible, because you can come up with more exiting questions, due to damage and more cars.

Get in front of him, so he crashes me. Then I use the impulse to straighten out, and draft him. Then, at the last moment, I pass him. Then I go hunting for the RUF that made me do that for bloody revenge. :)

WWYDI: You are in a LAN race, and you are in an Amuse S20K Street Version. You decide to put N2 tires so the car feels more realistic. The moment the race starts, you notice too much wheel spin. And at the first turn you notice the car drifts. You race and race drifting until you spin out at a 30 mph hairpin. The good ol´Corolla is coming through pretty easily. Its the last lap and second to last turn.

Since I slid to the outside of the hairpin, I slowly step on the gas while turning all the way left, and, now that I am facing th correct direction, I get in front of the corolla and let him bump me back to speed.

You are in a race at Tsukuba in a Lotus Elise on lap 41/50 in third place, and your tires are starting to turn yellow orange in the rear, while your front tires are a safe shade of blue-green. 3 seconds in front of you, an Aston Marton in British Racing Green which had come out of the pits recently, and is planning on doing it again, has Blue front tires and blue-green rear tires. 0.150 seconds in front of him, a Plymouth Superbird in orange with tires to match. Behind you is an Audi RS4, an Acura HSC, and a Shelby Series 1, all with yellow-green tires, that are all battling around 2 seconds behind you. Suddenly, on the last, sweeping corner, the Aston Marton bumps the Superbird and they both spin out in the middle of the turn! you try to avoid them by going around the left, and this works, but the incident caused you to go into the grass, and so your speed has slowed to 36 miles per hour, and is not staying stable. Now the other cars are in trouble as well, but they all managed to get around except the RS4. He crashed into the Plymouth and sent him careening into you! Now the Plymouth, RS4, and you all have dents and broken parts, but you can see the cars way in front spinning out as well, because their tires were worn from the quick steering they had to do. Now you don't know wether or not to give up or try and catch the other cars, and if you do try to continue, you don't know how to avoid crashing into the cars in front, or when to pit, or wether you should just focus on at least earning third place. What do you do?

Go for it!
Dont pit. Although I havnt got to play gt4 yet, red tires in gt2 were easy. Anyway, youve already come 41 laps. Pit on the 45th lap and keep going.
If you were in first place and you spun out on the last turn and 1 person passed you?

That aint very detailed but whatever.
I would race and race. Not only getting 100% perfect lines, but 101% perfect lines. Then I catch up to the opponent, and get revenge for him passing me. He knows hes not supposed to. :)

WWYDI: You are in Tsukuba. You are in a Skyline (4WD) and behind you are two Lancers, two Impreza, and a Rally car. since rally cars are fastest, normally, it passes all but one Lancer. At the super tight hairpin, the Lancer hits you and you go in the grass. The Lancer lost too much speed, that caused the Rally car to crash him hard and thus sending him to you, which gets you even more offtrack.

Do it again, it's not that hard :p After all, it is the Nürburgring!

OK, I think I'll go for this one seeing as it's a Skyline.
The 'super tight hairpin' has almost no grass, you'd actually be in gravel, but let's assume we found some grass. I would drop to first gear, floor the throttle and tap the handbrake, therefore pushing my revs up high enough to launch, and go directly back to the track. The rallycar will have been slowed almost to a stop in hitting the Lancer, so I could possibly get back to the track in front of him. If I didn't, we'd be going the same speed along the back straight and so I'd stay in his slipstream. I'd be going marginally faster by the end of the straight, and so as the rallycar turns into the last sweeping corner, I would take a wide line in and brake very late, probably not on the brakes until after I've started to turn. I'd be putting a lot of faith in ATTESA-ETS, but with luck I could just about hold the outside line of the track. Staying on the brakes down to about 90mph, then opening the throttle, I'd turn in as hard as possible to the inside of the turn, hopefully reaching an apex just after half-way around, and this would see me cut in front of the rallycar with no contact. Close call, but I reckon it'd work.

Yeah, but the Lancer hit you even farther, so I dont think you can do it so fast. But nice answer!! Creative.

WWYDI: You are on the Test Course in a Minolta. You are in lap 2/3. On the first "turn" you are doing well until you lose your concentration for a second and go directly at the barrier at 300 mph. The car starts spinning, jumping, friggin.

Save the replay, take a sweet picture of it.

I've done too many WWYDI's, so I'll give someone else a turn.

WWYDI you crashed into a car and not spun out but someone else passes you?

I'd go behind him and slipstream!! 👍

WWYDI you're neck to neck with your friend on the last corner of Tsukuba Circuit wet :scared: (you're on the outside of the corner and you're using the same car as your friend)

Get out and get into my R8. :sly:

Never done that yet :p
go directly at the barrier at 300 mph.
I'd be beyond pleased that I'd miraculously managed to make the car gain 20mph and take the turn at 300mph, before going to take the World LSR.

(In case you can't tell, I don't really like that one :))

depends on which Skyline a GT-R or a GTS an R32, R33, or R34. in cause of the r33 GT-R i would take back off cause i could beat them all easy.
