Spraying WD-40 into your wheel would not be a good idea. Aside from opening up the case to find the source of binding, don't know what else you could do.

How old is it. I think it has 2 year warranty dont open if its not 2 years old.

I had my first GFGT.....and it smoked and it was very hard to turn....and that was the first 2 weeks i had the whell. I called logitech.....it took me a month to get my self the replacement... first wheel - Jan 10-20 ... 2nd whee - march 1 to now....I really dont want to open it because I'm scared i would screw something up and i'm lazy .... so yea......I could still use it....its just it doesnt feel loose....

I have a similar problem but on the opposite end of it the first 10 degrees left and right is loose but as soon as i go past 10 degrees it tightens up and also have you tried adjusting the force feedback setting ?

its nothing about the force feed back.....with the power off...it feels tighter than it came out from the box

If it is within waranty send it back but when it happens the same to your third wheel I think they will be suspicious... Ive had mine for over 2 years and its like new... and I always turn the FFB to 100.

I think you can safely give it a short spray of WD-40.

Do not use WD-40, WD-40 is not even a lubricant, it gums, and looses all lubrication value over time, go buy some di-electric grease, it would probably be the best choice for electronics, or, just put some Vaseline, or KY Jelly on it that stuff works great, I know mechanics who use it in transmissions as bearing grease, and they've lasted awhile.
