With all this hype around GT5, and the intolerable waiting for a release date, I've just heard a song, and it's a proper blast from a GT3 past... seemed kinda appropriate...

all of my life, where have you been,
I wonder if I'll ever see you again,
and if that day comes, I know we could win,
I wonder if I'll ever see you again..

Lenny kravitz, "Again" from the ending movie to GT3 PAL UK edition
GT3 ending movie. 👍

What about another take on the weird text: 20 stages and 60 tracks

Wouldn´t that be better?

60 with the variations could end up being close to 100... and we would also get rally stages, which i still think it´s unlikely, judging by the way GT has treated Rally racing up until now.

I want to believe this, anyone else thought about this interpretation?

My interpretation of this, Has to go back to Black Chamber's translation

Disclaimer, This is a list of previous known tracks that have been in Gran Turismo & not a attempt to create a new GT5 Track list.

I highly doubt that they would make two different versions that are incompatible with each other.

Was just reading Amar's post again:

Fifth wind says that reunion will happen in two forms, one greater than other and birdtamers will have freedom to decide which reunion they will attend. Greater reunion will ask for great sacrifice to be made in order to get all present and future treasures without new sacrifices needed, while smaller reunion will come in form already known, asking for more sacrifices if future treasures catches the eyes of the birdtamers.

Sounds simple to me, one copy of GT5 will have all of the content and will be more expensive then normal.. but it will have a lot, and all you can get for a greater price.

Second copy of GT5 will have fewer tracks and cars, but you can choose what tracks and cars you want to add through downloadable content (DLC).

Makes sense to me... maybe the minimal amount of tracks is 20, and you can upgrade from there.
And the full version will have 60 plus tracks, no need to upgrade/getting DLC.
It goes perfectly with what they were planning with GT:HD back in the day, where they planned to add content on the way and to have the player themselves choose what car and track they wish to download.

What I get from that is both(if there is a premium game) will be the same at launch but the premium edition will include any future DLC for free while the regular owners will have to buy it.

I'd stick more with what Justin said. For me personally, I reckon that it would be this way to prevent the people who splurged for the premium version to get an unfair advantage straightaway. But who knows??

meh.. I never listen to music when playing Gran Turismo. Ruins the whole "driving experience".

Unless your behind the wheel of a prius or a insight:lol: Better yet, the music could assist you in doing a better impression of the Stig :sly:

My Music: Great for replays and Menus. A welcome addition, even for someone who doesn't listen to music while driving.

So many good songs to choose from my Winamp playlist... I can't begin to describe the excitement. Good news indeed. 👍 (The only ones that don't lead to more speculation, that is.)

I can't wait to be able to upload replays directly to Youtube!

They better have online replays this time around!

I wonder will there be a video editor, uploading replays is fine just it would be nice to chop footage and cut out some inevitable tedious bits of races.

I'm still sticking to the "20 tracks and 60 total variations - special gamescon version" thing. This came from a translation by a native Japanese (This accdg. to one of our fellow forum member).

Anyway, how about including this list?

Zolder (Belgium)
Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium)
Imola (Italy)
Monza (Italy)
Shanghai (China)
Hockenheim (Germany)
Magny-Cours (France)
Estoril (Portugal)
Jerez (Spain)
Silverstone (UK)
Brands-Hatch (UK)

These tracks are named from the prologue menu weather forecast.

And also the rumored (somehow confirmed?) Madrid track.

Now that makes it over 80.

i cant wait to have a custom soundtrack in this gt
Demon Hunter, Project 86!!!!

meh.. I never listen to music when playing Gran Turismo. Ruins the whole "driving experience".
Or, drowns out the whining of the vacuum cleaner engine sounds. Honestly, when I'm in the mood, I run the sound through HDMI to the TV speakers and listen to music through the sound system in Pro Logic II (Music). My display does a fantastic job at creating surround sound. Hopefully, the game will set up the soundstage similar to how I have it.

The point is I pick what I want and when I want it.

I wouldn't make a big deal of what's showing on the weather forecast. But... then again, it has taken them 5 years.

I would. Why name those specific locations knowing that there is a famous track built there? I think its just dumb if PD put it there for no reason. Or say, 'hey, because a lot of our fans live there!'

"So Kaz, why are those tracks named on the menu?"
"Oh, i just thought i'd tease everyone and make them giggle like small kids :D those tracks won't be included! It's just for funzies!"

Those are great tracks, I would include those into the 20 yet to be named tracks. Of course this list is speculation on my part at best. Until we can
get a english version of the features list from PD, There still going to be a lot of confusion.

"The Winds have Started to Scream and their Words are even Clearer"

This should of read:

The Winds have Started to Scream and their Words are even more Cunfusing
