Sixth wind has been unveiled, other 5 are still waiting.

Feast is starting :D

So there are 5 more news ragarding Gran Turismo, this one was quite interesting because it IS a nice confirmation that the development of GT Mobile, GT Portable, GT GO, GT whatever, is still going on.

At least we know guaranteed that "reunion" stands for game. :D And "realm" = Console, but that doesn't matter much right now, does it?

i cant take this wait no more.3 more nights dreaming about what GT5 may look like... i cant.
Thank god i have an exam tomorrow :D

Chris

Just imagine GT4 with Prologues physics, graphics, cockpits and everything new added.

This way GT5 cant disappoint you. ;)

E3 dude ;)

This was more than enough, don't you want to be suprised of eaten up with exictement for the 3 next days :sly: ?

Man, Ive been checking this thread every 15min... ALL day, I dont think I can take it, lol. I must go to google and see if there is something we are missing... come on google.

Another note, Ive never had intrest in E3 before this year, its been set to record on my DVR for last 3 days.

Just cant wait this is the most exciting gaming news .I am looking forward to E3 more than any thing else .

That was a good YT vid frank-jaegar. GTMobile is confirmed by that last statement from the SCEA guy. Now, to wait for the big cheese of when GT5 will be launched!

I tell you something, just yesterday I was thinking GT5 was still far away and PD wanted the hype to die, so I tried forgetting it, but now this new and video has cropped up, I CANT WAIT.

I'm going to make a statement that hopefully will be remembered once GT5 is out this Christmas.

I believe that PD is giving us a GT5 that we never even thought of that we would get. I think that in those 4 years of intensive development PD has created a massive singleplayer gameplay with features that we might not even be thinking about.

I'm so confident that GT5 will be way beyond our imaginations. I believe it is going to be a perfect game.
Well... if you've been following any of my posts, you know I'm a pretty big dreamer. :sly:

However, I'm inclined to agree with you. There are things that would be quite difficult, like coming up with models of 500-600 cars and numerous race tracks from around the world, along with taking the tracks from previous GTs and making them HD. But it sounds like this is a given.

Something almost as hard would be giving us a serious damage build, along with variable weather and time of day changes. In fact, something I'm pretty sure wasn't very easy was coming up with a good drift scoring system. Still, other games have had similar features in the past.

But other things would be pretty simple in comparison, such as giving us a much improved Photo Mode, as well as a Movie Maker. Racing Modification, with a range of body kits, and a livery editor. A beefy, extensive online system with event creators. Even my much dreamed about Career and Season Modes, especially some sort of Season Mode Online! A Career Mode would be fairly easy to code.

Heck, Kazunori has been mentioning the possibility of more than 16 car races! Even online! And 16 cars to me, after Forza 2, is a lot. Clearly, even this early in their PS3 engine development, they're finding ways to push it further. And then, there's even the simple matter of what goodies they may give us in a Special Anniversary Edition.

Am I ready to be blown away? Heck yeah I am! Let those winds roar! :D

Just can't wait... is about 1:00 AM here in Brazil, i was just getting ready to sleep, but now...
Think i will play a little bit of GT4 or GT5P online.

See you all on the track !!1!

Amar, I have a question about your reveal. You may not be able or allowed to answer it, but hopefully you can.

Will GT Mobile only work on the new PSP, or can it work with my PSP-2000 also?

From the comments in the Qore video, the guy says the PSP Go will not replace PSP 3000. He mentioned that some titles will be Digital Download only though. But I fail to see why you couldn't just download them anyway on an older PSP. Just have to upgrade the memory card to suit.

Also doubt a big game like LBP, MGS or GT would be digital only.

I know he says it isn't a replacement, but the only detail he gives is that the 3000 will still be on the market. At 4:10 he says, "In the initial launch we will see some similar games between the two, but in the longer term I think we will see some changes."

I am not sure if that statement just means that eventually the digital download only games will be designed as more of a quick and small game, like "Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman!" or if it will actually have its own separate games that the older models can't play. He distinctly avoided discussing processing power.

Well they don't have control over MGS, Konami does. But it would be stupid of them to not make LBP and GT DL only, what is the point of buying a whole new console when you can play the game on a cheaper console.

Way I see it (with no real evidence to support it) I would think that they will eventually phase out UMD games so without upgrading your memory card your psp will become useless for new games. Unless you have older UMD games the UMD drive will probably get little use eventually.

It would be stupid to have 2 of probably the biggest games on PSP to date as Download only as a lot of people with an old PSP will probably miss out.

Also, we have no idea on pricing yet. The PSP Go might be the financially viable solution when you add in the cost of having to buy a new memory card to play digital content.

Also from when did a new console need to have a reason to be worth it over its predecessor. The DSi is so popular even though it costs $100 more than the Lite and offers nothing bar some cheap mobile phone cameras and a card slot.

Also being a much smaller size now, PSP Go is a lot more likely to contend the ipod with having inbuilt memory.

Well where is Motorstorm for PS2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A lot of us only have this console and are left out on the fun. Your argument for having GTmobile on old PSP's is really not a good one.

I'm not even talking about unit sales so I don't know what the Dsi has to do with this.

Also, I think ever new console needs to be better than it's predecessor, why else would you have a Blu-Ray player in your PS3 while the PS2 only has DVD. Innovation is the reason why companies make new consoles, it is also what makes you chose the new one over the old one.

Please tell me why my argument about GT mobile on old PSP's is not a good one. All I'm trying to say is that you will get more sales by selling the game on older psp's and the psp go because you have a much larger consumer base. The consumer base is larger because if you isolate sales to only the PSP Go, a lot of people will not buy GT because the opportunity cost of having to buy a console and game are a lot higher than just buying a game + memory card.

You stated what is the point of someone buying the more expensive console when they can just play the same game on the older/cheaper one.

Why are people buying the DSi like hotcakes when the DS can play everything just the same? *Later added comment* People will just buy the PSP Go because it offers something different to the PSP 3000 (ie, size, memory). Does not need exclusive games to push sales. Not yet anyway.

If you aren't talking about unit sales I don't understand your argument at all.

Innovation is the reason why companies make new consoles but that doesn't mean the console has to be better (even though the PSP Go is better than the PSP 3000 depending what you want)

You release new versions of the same console because you can reduce costs by using new parts rather than continuously producing the old ones. Hence PS1, PS2, PSP 2000/3000. The cost is not necessarily just in the unit itself. It also can be in reduced costs for post purchase behavior. PSN games are cheaper to produce than disk based games, so more profits for developers, and producers.

PSP Go quite clearly is trying to appeal to a different market than the PSP3000, or rather a wider market. It is trying to steal some ipod sales off those who have an ipod but also like portable gaming. The inbuilt memory is a big + for some people.

There are > 50 million PSPs and the PSP hardware is still powerfull enough. That's why there is no PSP2 and there will be no PSP Go exclusive games. Maybe we'll see some really small "Apple style" download games, but they should work on every PSP.
