That evo looks like a modified road car to me:confused:

No it's a simple Evolution IV

We have to remember that this is still a demo..
it may be not the last "build" so at the tgs it may be different...
it's not really what i was looking for, but for me the important is that it will have good gameplay..

Maybe Damage is only turned on for the actual driver and not for AI?

Maybe Damage is only turned on for the Impreza?

Too many AssUmptions being made in this thread...

Indeed, I'm getting sick of all this whining! :grumpy:

We've gone from:

June: No evidence of any damage to anything.
July: 3s of video - with many alleging it was post-produced - showing some damage to something.
August: 4 minutes of video showing two different people actually damaging a car to the point of its door falling off and debris raining across the track while playing the game.

Be as disappointed with it as you like. But with progression like that, just think of what you'll have when the game comes out...

maybe i'm too picky but why is there a co-driver on round track?? its not a rally

Maybe because that and the damage are only going to be available on WRC events... They just put it there for the demo. I'm getting more convinced of this every minute.

Why is there still no rubber marks or realistic smoke?
Wow our expectations for this game were way too high
Indeed. At least I'm glad all cars will be the same quality as in GT5 Prologue and have interior view. Also, that Impreza's behavior looks 10 times more realistic than the cars in GT5P. 👍

EDIT: I think GT5 will be great, but far from outstanding (as we thought it would be), and the Forza fanboys will have a lot of reasons to be happy...

EDIT: How about the tracks? Are there still only 20 of them?

I hope to god your right, because this game is why i bought a ps3, but somehow looking at the speed of those crashes, and thinking that Kaz said the game is complete makes me wonder this is the final build.

what part of it? looks like a bog standard evo 4 to me.

i gotta admit dmg is not great in my books, i hope the bumpers and bonnet can come off too and not just the doors. Also the bumpers dont seem to actually be deformed? just dislodged?

Either way im far more interested in realistic physics and physical dmg to the cars and tyres as opposed to cosmetic stuff. as far as cosmetic dmg goes this will suffice, but by no means is it good.

People were saying HAHA, and that i was wrong, and that they hope this list i wrote proves right because it will now be all over the net.
One person said Haha, people naturally disagreed with you since the translation of the GT5 news was widely open for speculation, and most importantly, they were not talking about the list you created, rather than the translation of the leaked info, which has made it all over the net by now.

Might be hard to grasp, but the world doesn't evolve around you.

wow have you seen the gt5 gamplay and damage subaru? :) well my opinion is separated in two ways.. 1. the grafik is very good i think little better then gt5 prolouge.. but the second way :( is little dissapointing for me.. when the subaru hits the wall he is acting arcadly, then mitsubishi evo (road car) hits subaru and is not damaged.. that mean no damage for road cars :(? and there is not tire mark on road again :(

Assumption: the evo could be one of the 800ish gt4 cars( no damage ) - premium models like the WRX are fully modelled with engine etc and so are capable of showing damage..................point is the Evo does have an interior modelled - this looks positive

That damage looks terrible and very unrealistic. Big deal, panels fall off, but I didn't see evidence of panel deformation.

Well i will say this, if GT5 has nailed the physics and improved them substantially over prologue and the sounds are improved i will be a happy man regardless of damage. It's just it makes me laugh all the nitpicking and the silly things like tree details and about 10'000 cars in a wishlist when PD can't even get the fundamentals right. I want rubber marks and i want good sounds, sounds were not sure of yet, and i want Great physics, these are fundamental features way beyond wishlists and trees in my book that add to the overall immersion of the game, this version still looks very sterile.

We already seen different demos, like the LeMans or the Northschleife demo..
this could be another demo made for the Gamescom, with the first addition of a type of damage only to the playable car.
At this point I think that we can not take conclusions until we have the game, at least we have to wait for the tgs..
