The X2010 doesn't need a throttle

Of course, the acceleration and grip of this car are both phenomenal, but what really amazes me is the brakes on this car. They could literally bring a jumbo jet to a stop.
So I decided to give something a try. I went to the Tokyo city track; just chosen because it has some nice turns.
I wanted to see if I could run the entire course with the throttle full on, only using the brakes to control my speed.
Not only is it possible, it was better than I expected!
I'm not saying this is the best way to run time laps or that you will be setting any records with this approach, but the sheer fun of it was worth the effort.
I will admit it took me a few laps to figure out all the new braking points before I could nail a proper fast lap with throttle pegged the whole time.
And the really astonishing thing is that I did this with a DS3.
I didn't feel like getting my wheel and pedals out and set everything up, as I was just playing around tonight. But I am definitely going to try this with the wheel tomorrow.
So, if you are bored, go find a track like Tokyo and try this, you'll be in awe of just how powerful those brakes are, regardless of the engine pulling against them at full song!

When I first used the X1 I was surprised at the power of the brakes too. It feels like you've chucked a huge parachute out the back of the car, drag racer stylee!

I will definatly try this next time I'm on GT.

I have read in a recent A.S.S. article that this is basically the method of aliens. That is how these incredible fast laptimes are done.

PS: A.S.S. = Autosimsport

What were the TCS, ABS etc settings when you do it this way? I gave it a try an it doesn't seem to work too well

i used to do this with my B spec S14 Silvia on Forza2 - ended up slightly faster overall i think but you had to completely re-learn the breaking points, and it felt a bit wrong doing it.
