These graphics suck!

Okay, I'm not much of a GT4 photographer, but sometimes when browsing through these boards I get a good chuckle on the skimpy graphics GT4 has in some spots.
Let's see your ugliest graphics in the game on display. I want to see pixels... BIG pixels, flat wheels, corners where there should be round edges, cheesy trees, flat spectators. Anti-PD ammo here!

The worst (or best?) shot wins a pie. Your choice of flavors. Let the farce begin. Please.
 
From the view screen, I was very happy with this picture... until I actually snapped the shot. It looks horrible, the people ruined it but I saved it anyway because i like the framing. If only the photomode would re-render the people just for pictures so that they look better. Honestly, I know flat funky people and 2d wheels makes the replay smoother, but once a shot is snapped it should re-render them all in 3d to make the picture look better. Oh well, here it is. See the thumb looks okay, but when you click... ugh:

Exactly! And if PD would've had the best programmers in the world and unlimited time (which they didn't have), the Playstation has its limits. Compared to its specs, the graphic is extremly good already. In every 3D game, you'll find some weak spots where something doesn't look good. Being a programmer, you have to make compromises, cause if you model every single object to perfection, you'll consume all the computing power with details nobody will pay attention to unless he's on the hunt for weaknesses.

Come on guys it is just a laugh :) And I'm sure everyone here has had a few pics that turned out bad due to some graphic flaw.
 
silly thread , every picture i have taken on gt4 has come out perfect no big pixels or flat wheels, the game has superb graphics and why say that the graphics suck when they don't
 
Wow, Why take it so seriously, he is a tad negative about it. But basically it's just for a laugh.

Frankly I'm hight offended! There are no volcanoes in Wales!

I live in Swanea and I'm Welsh :irked: Why are most the people in this thread lacking a sense of humour :confused:

What's with you guys? Lighten up! He's not saying the graphics suck, he's just saying that sometimes there's a flaw and if you've got a picture post it.
 
Let me try again. Why is everyone taking this as a threat to the 'greatness' of GT4? Why can't they accept that there is some flaws in GT4, no matter how small and take them in good heart without biting the head off the thread starter?

You've got the point, but it actually speaks against the thread starter, as he is the one that wants to laugh about the games faults. Before I discovered this is not to be taken too seriously, I stated that the game does have its flaws graphicswise, but that you shouldn't punish PD for them, cause it's the Playstation that prevents better graphics.

Whoa people! People!!! I am not saying that the graphics suck! The thread title was just that so you come in and take a look. When a professional athlete makes a silly mistake (own goal or whatever) s/he is ridiculed and made fun of, but it doesn't mean they suck. I am taking a laugh at the lighter side of the game. Sometimes people around here will defend the faults and flaws of this video game as if someone had just insulted their mother. I am laughing at them, and I'm also taking a look at something trivial that shouldn't be taken so seriously. Even taking a look at the Photomode Poll threads, a lot of the time there are some pretty funny images there with boxy pixels and mis-rendered cars.

How are we punishing PD for it? Sheesh! It's not like they didn't know that flat people and funny graphics and copy/pasted trees would occur. They don't get slapped every time someone sees a mistake or whatever... You people laugh at bloopers or mistakes that professionals and important people make, so what's the difference here? Here it is a video game, laugh at this, don't laugh at the soccer players getting hit in the crotch. that's just mean.

Thank you dori-san for cooperating, at least some people understand what is going on here.

It's a game. Lighten up.
 
lol...i feel for you...this thread has definately been taken the wrong way...gt4 is not perfect, no game is (why else you all waiting for gt5, why would they bother making it, why why why). Thread was a good idea but ya. Funny thing is people post all sorts of glitches etc in other threads, and nobody complains. Oh well.

Hahah nice shots of Times Square, the first one's great... 👍

The managed to get very nice surface and light effects, but they really missed on edges and corners. Take a look at the roofline on the V8... Hahaha.

Oh I know, that's another thing that really irks me. S**ty looking people and 2d wheels is one thing I know they couldn't do too much about. But those ANNOYING jaggies on all the wheel wells!? COME ON! gross. :yuck:

HAHHAHAHAHAaa.... this is hilerious, some people around here need to relax.. i think we take a few **** pics trying to get those good ones, ive got plenty of **** ups that i would love to share for a laugh (mind you there are plently of good one two, but we are not all perfect).
