I ****** HATE people who can't tell yours from mine.. Some low life POS scumbag loser broke into the ugly little Saxo last night :grumpy: Result - Apart from the missing GPS and glass all over the car, I had to spend 4 hours on the phone with the Police, Insurance agency, the local Citroen Shop, delivering the car etc. etc. etc.

Luckily the Insurance Agency covers everything - all I need to worry about is not placing my arse in a piece of glass.. I still reserve the right to be pissed though :(

Harsh, I had my Ibiza broken into, the theives stole 17 pence, thats it. I don't know what I was more pissed about, them breaking into the car, or going to all that trouble for 17 pence.

My dad just said after reading your story that you should go steal something of theirs to get payback...

Hope you catch the SOB's..

If only, if only I knew who did it - Stealing would be the last thing on my mind. It may have been a crappy discount GPS, but it was MY crappy discount GPS - and I liked it !.... Bastards.....

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, and I know that it is not funny, but that line of yours reminded me of the following incident, which some claim is a true story:

Police Log

This is said to be a true account recorded in the Police Log of Sarasota, Florida...

An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her voice, "I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of the car!"

The four men didn't wait for a second invitation. They got out and ran like mad. The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the driver's seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition. She tried and tried, and then it dawned on her why...

For the same reason she did not understand why there was a football, a frisbee and two 12 packs in the front seat...

A few minutes later, she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down. She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the police station to report her mistake. The sergeant to whom she told the story couldn't stop laughing. He pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a car jacking by a mad, elderly woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair and carrying a large handgun.
No charges were filed.

MORAL OF THE STORY?
If you're going to have a Senior Moment, make it memorable.

Sorry to hear that, Fler... sadly, there is always going to be people who have no respect for other people's property or sense of fair-play. You are quite entitled to be angry, but atleast you were able to channel your energies into getting the situation sorted quickly and effectively... let's just hope you don't shred your buttocks on hidden shards of glass in the upholstery :scared: :sorebumsmiley: I've only been robbed once, my flat was burgled in Glasgow, but they caught the SOB and he was done for 19 other robberies in the area too, so let's hope the culprit gets what's coming to him...

btw, I had to steal some letters from the title of the thread, but I think you make your point perfectly well in your post without them 👍

My friend had his cd/radio stolen our of his car along with his entire CD collection. But, luckily he had his mc chris CD in the player. He heard one of chris's songs blasting from some car in his condo's parking lot.

So, he looked in the car later and, sure enough, there was his deck. The owner of the car is in jail now. :D

Funny, the day i joined my church my car got robbed of an old analog cellphone and an old pioneer cd player (with a cd in it that i much so enjoyed!) This was in July 2003

Someone else's ford taurus was broken into as well as mine (got in the same way, tore out the lock mechanism) and someone left their chevy blazer unlocked...bye bye stereo+sub

The authorities immediately came to the church and assessed the situation...(Sunday morning service too!) never heard from the police about anyone being apprehended...oh well

Insurance company gave me a NEW pioneer cd player in my car (free installation too) (also since the one i had was what it came with when i bought the car was out of production)

and a new cooler analog cellphone, best cell phone i ever had...kyocera blue screen with tetris!

that's my story anyway

Someone tried to break into my house while we were out.

It seems they'd tried to prize the door open with something.

We've probably had more then 8 times that someone stole something out of our car. Mostly the stereo and once my dad's laptop! :scared:
Sorry to hear that tought...

Sorry to hear that Flerbizky. At least they didn't steal anything more than the GPS. On car vandalizing topics: My car hasn't been broken into to, but some jealous bastards at school have been keying my '99 Mercury Sable. :grumpy: I know what scratches were there when I got the car, but when more appeared than what was there; I told the principal and security guard about it. It stopped for a while, but now they started up again. :grumpy:

Does your school have a camera on the parking lot? That happened to someone I know in high school, she had a brand new Mustang GT that her and her dad work on. She overheard someone bragging about it, took the issue to the office and they confirmed it with a videotape and attendance records.

The GT's owners father also worked for the government so needless to say, he made sure the ***** who keyed it paid for the repairs in full.

Sucks dude. I was just in the same situation with my GTO the other night....

I know it makes you want to knock 'em out....made me feel the same way....SOBs!:grumpy:

Quite a few years ago (about 10 or so, I think, I was a toddler when it happened) our car got stolen.

It was found in a car park, IIRC, completely unharmed (what a pity, see below)

Not that I would've cared if it happened now - it was a Ford Cortina. In brown. :yuck:

Thank god we don't have it any more. :)

Wow, that sucks. I hate how people can just take things that aren't theirs.
We had our old car stolen when I was young. It had ALL my cool toys in it! Even my Wolverine figure! I was crushed but we got it back in the same condition it left in only it was full of McDonalds rubbish and 5 cent coins everywhere.

Screw the baseball bat.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. Once, a robber broke into my dad's Chevy Vega POS. He didn't find anything in there, and found out that the stereo was crap and he knifed the interior and left. My dad just kept laughing over the whole thing.
