After a short journey to Forza 3 I´m shocked how bad FM3 is (so many things are worse, it will took too long to list them)... And I´m extremely more amazed how good GT5 is!

I only hope FM4 will be a huge improvement! But I don´t think that they can beat GT5... The tracks in GT5 are 100% exact as their originals... Most real life tracks in FM3 look more like fantasy tracks, the Nordschleife is sooo worse, incredible!

I ordered an GT2 wheel for FM3 and 4 but now I´m thinking about to cancel my order and keep my GT3...

Uh so what makes you go wow then?

Premium cars - they are not just very detailed - they are beautiful!
Lighting engine - just best in the business. I get wow every time I saw sun playing with car and taillights.
Cockpit view and surface shaders (excluding blocky shadows) - best in the business. They are completely fooled my eyes. So beautiful and so accurate. So realistic. Shadows affects smoke, rain, snow. Just amazing.
Night racing and weather effects - they just looks realistic and beautiful. Taillights lit track, smoke and rain.
Smoke effect - every time 100% wow. Just perfect.
SSR7 - all of them together in one track...
Physics model and overall responsiveness of the controls (no input lag like FM or NFS). And it feels very natural.

Imagine when we'll be playing something like GT8. It will be unbelievable.

Nordschleife in the morning hours, just beautiful.

And the Mazda Cosmo!

The lighting engine.

a lot of people complain about standards but look at the option in front it look no different to a premium as it looks like it's got tinted windows. but on topic the lighting is the best. I've been kicked after races as I have parked up on the quick time shift so I can take nice pics from the replay.

I dont have to type anymore, all effects make me wow in GT, even now!

After playing GT5 for so many months, are there still things which make you gape in awe? Personally for me, I simply can't get over how breathtaking the Nurburgring time shift is. The sun going down over the hills and just cascading onto the track and your car....
The 24 hour layout with time shift is extremely pretty indeed, makes me smile every time I drive it. 👍

I'm very impressed by the physics of the game 👍 Driving with a wheel is amazing. I started with a controller, but with a wheel it's unbelievable realistic. For me it's the one and only real driving simulator :)

I've been reading the car descriptions lately, their awesome! I never knew the 2010 Camaro went around the Nurburgring in 8 minutes and 20 seconds and that the Esprit 350 is a full fledged track car!

Holy crap! One of those moments when you don't "think" about game graphics but just watch and believe in it! It's beyond resolution, polygons and shaders! Just WOW! 👍

Hahaha completely wiping out your save data and starting a new career while skipping the online update and running with only what the disc has to offer... My word PD has worked hard for our satisfaction... You cant turn the hud off... No internal damage, no engine hp or gear ratio adjustment... But yes the sunset or dusk transitions... When running a room with time trans. I usually start at 4:40 or 20:10... Although i have had to change the time speed from 10 - 3 just to get rid of the overcast/cloudy generated weather...

wow...everyone has racing tyres on yet they host a street car only lobby.
wow... you complain the AI is to slow yet you spent close to 300k fully modding your car
wow

Things make me go "wow" everytime I play the game.

But my most recent "wow" moment was with the Ferrari F1 Challenge in the Seasonal Events. (Finally bit the bullet and bought a Ferrari F1 :nervous:)

I was driving the F10 on the Nurb. GP course.
Using G25 wheel.
Map off.
All other displays off.
Cockpit set to zoom.
With a strict intention to avoid contact with AI.
(I highly recommend everyone try this event in a similar fashion.)

The immersion was far beyond what I expected. I now have no regrets in purchasing the F10 for 10 million Cr.

I was so satisfied with this experience that I later proclaimed, "I would have bought GT5 even if all I could was that one single event." 👍

-Create a small, windy, curb-filled kart course.
-Take cars, preferably a fast one (anything from musclecars to exotics, or try some NASCAR.)
-Set everything to real spes (no aids, damage on)
-Drive a race. Not win, just drive and have fun. And don't hit anyone.

Oh, and Le Mans in a LMP car. Just waiting for the sun to go down and wtaching the light show of the shadows in the cockpit.

That makes me say wow.

Taking my Shelby Cobra Chrome Line around the Ring in cockpit view with fully manual H-shift and all HUD displays off...in the sunset...wow

no..just...no....the Option Stream Z is EXACTLY why I complain about the standards...the texturing on the car is AWFUL!

On topic, the Premium cars (sans shadows) are mind blowing. As are the higher quality tracks. I kind of understand the overusage of Tsukuba as it's really been given some next gen loving over the GT4 version. Shame PD couldn't have done more cars and tracks of the highest quality.
