Damage modeling.
Ai behavior.
Real world track list, Bathurst, Road America, Hockenheim, etc...and others like Watkins Glen, Sebring.
Camera disorientation when crashing.
GT1 & GT3 license.
Vaughan Gitten Jr....jk.

Also, redo rally physics....when they have to make the courses 10 car widths wide, well maybe you've got something wrong.

GT6 would be the greatest then.

The tracks are about the only thing worth adding from that game. Everything else is absolute and utter cack.

Shift sucks TBH. The only good NFS games were the originals up to hot pursuit 2 and the new Hot Pursuit.

Come on guys Shift was not all that bad. I thought the game case was made of a quite solid construction.

You have a point, I mean the plastic disc is every bit as sturdy as any other game disc.

The paper used for the booklet was also of very good quality with a nice smooth finish.

Then it wouldnt be Gran Turismo

which right now wouldn't be a bad thing.

Nothing he suggested is what makes shift bad. The complete lack of playability with a control and difficulties with a wheel is what blew their feet off.

Shift is ****. Its a different game from GT5.
You dropped an extra 'f' in there.

I bought Shift 2 and returned it the next day. I wasted 8 hours on that game, plus a couple more plundering the 'net for wheel configurations that would somewhat function. In my opinion it's an awful, awful game, It's as if no one even bothered to test it with a wheel. It is unplayable with a G27, drifting is impossible. All of it's talk of a realistic racing experience, borders on false advertising. Vaugh Gittin lost all respect from me by endorsing that POS.

very good font they used in the intro paragraph as well, made for a great booklet reading experience ;)

Put the disc in the microwave for a spectacular brief show.

Trolololol

And on that note, this thread is getting out of hand :p

Is it the turbo version?

It's a special model prepared by tuning house 'Stallion," with a sports intake system and carbon fibre race shoes. Not to mention the stage 4 turbo giving it 800 Ponie power....

I thought Hot Pursuit 2 was a bit duff, too; it lost some of the tension from the original. Most Wanted was good, as was Underground for what it was, although I despise its legacy. Didn't get around to HP3, but it's only innovation was the community stuff and a continuation of the nascent wackiness in HP2, so I doubt it's much better than its forebear.

I don't think there's any sense in copying ideas from Shift, either. It was aimed entirely in a different direction. I'd prefer to be able to choose between different games (or just own them all :dopey:), rather than several flavours of the same game.

:lol::lol: Actually EA should just drop all their whole NFS series(while giving other game producer the right to include Porsche) and relocate their remaining resources to focus on sports and fps. EA is just like "Jack of all trade but master of none!"

I think one thing GT can take from Shift customization. In Shift 2, almost any car can be turned into a full racing machine thanks to works conversion.

I know GT5 already had racing modification and a degree of customization but it's ridiculously limited. The body parts on most cars are nothing but spoilers and splitters. Only 17 cars can be RM'd, which I think is sad, especially after this feature was missed by many. Most premium road cars should have had a racing modification. And let's not forget there's no livery editor.

I really hope PD steps it up in this department in GT6 and beyond.

Only thing good in it is car customisation and tracks ..

Apart from that you can remove the f from shift.

Shift had some great car modifying details that I wish GT had. Like the stripped out interiors with racing seats and the flared/rolled wheel arches like many people do in real life to fit wider wheels.

Agreed. I feel that Shift 2 has the best customization in all console racing games.

Another wishlist and we don't have a GT6 section yet. We do however have several open wishlists. Feel free to post in those. 👍
