I know it may not be the right place but hey, I wouldn't mind that grocery getter. I've got one myself, gonna use one for racing and one for drifting. Just curious if you still have it and wish to get rid of it. Not sure what you'd want in return?

On topic though: GT4 had it nice, and somewhat reasonable. Some prototypes you couldn't sell, I think I can understand that. ALL CARS YOU PURCHASE SHOULD BE ABLE TO BE SOLD. It makes no sense otherwise. Also back in GT4 if you traded cars with someone, all unlisted price concept cars were automatically set for 200k. Sooo. . . why can't I sell it for 200k? Odd that a VW Nardo and a prototype Mazda 6 are both 200k, don't you think?

Why did you buy it if you don't plan on keeping it? You should just gift it to a friend who's a beginner. That's what I've been doing. My buddy just got the game today so I gifted him an M3 GTR :sly:
 
I think this is a terrible thing. I have 3 Shelby Cobras and I can't sell any of them. Do I want to remove it from my garage? Heck no. Just for the point of it. I also wanted to sell the GTR that I won in the Super GT series and spend a little more to buy a premium one, but no. There were other cars like this too, that I wanted to sell to get the premium editions, or ones that were pretty close. This is a poo poo feature.

The only issue with that is you don't eliminate the problem, you just pass it on to someone else.:dopey:
 
If you dont want the car, remove it what's the problem ?

As for those that got problem with oil, you could have let your B-spec driver drive it on an endurance race and make your oil dirty again. Honestly all I hear here is crybaby.

There's already enough bug in the game, if you want all car, you can get it one step after all with the birthday glitch, so yeah. Selling cars for high price would just push people to dupe more car to sell them etc.. Money not really hard to get if you actually play the game and not grind/dupe things then be disgusted because you dont have any fun playing it.
 
whiners...i sold all of the cars i could sell and got 4 million dollars .... if i was able to sell all the rest of my cars i would have 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 zigibidillion credits to spend
 
I don't think the original OP came across as wanting a ton of money, so I believe a few of you are missing the point. I personally have received a few cars more than once. I both won the Toyota FT-86 G SPORTS Concept '10 (B-Spec FR Challenge), and got it from a car ticket. I'd love to sell one, but I cannot. Sure, I could throw it away, but to be honest, I just don't like doing that. Even a small amount would make me feel better than trashing it. I am not looking to get rich or find advantage where there shouldn't be one.


PS - As a note to Brit999, I completely agree with you, which is why I have participated in no exploits, and never will.

Here is my take:

I do the birthday cheat, get a 20 mil car, sell it, buy loads of cool stuff.

Rinse and repeat. The game becomes and endless round of cheat/exploit buy WTH I want.

Or, play the game, do races, win money, buy cars. Serious players will continue to play for months to fill their garages.

I do not want a quick fix. I want to earn the cars, even if it takes me years. Like it did in GT4.

If you want an easy game go buy something else. Like Ridge Racer 7.....

What is 'The Birthday Cheat?'
 
Just so you guys know, $500,000 is when you can't sell it anymore. You can buy a Ferrari (forgot which one) for around $450,000 and sell it, but any $500,000 car you can't sell. so it doesn't look like its car specific but money specific like they put this in here to limit your cash...

at the very least they should have allowed you to "trade in cars" but maybe only for another car, but at least give you the option of trading your 2 million credit car for a 500,000 credit car if you want...

What they should have done for cars like the Audi Pikes Peak (aka Q7) and Leno tank car was make races for them, and maybe they will with new updates. I think a SUV race would have been nice, I mean they have a truck and nascar race, why not SUVs, there are a couple in the game (RR and Audi).

This. Is. Dumb. In GT4 you could easily make millions by selling the RSC Rally Raid car... Does anyone know what makes a car not be able to be sold? Is it price? Type? Why oh why....

^^^ This..That's how I got so much money in GT4. Kept on doing the event on the winding circuit to win the RSC rally raid, and sold it for 250K each time.

I heard that they give you a car on your birthday from the year you were born. So people were making accounts and putting 2010 as their birth year to get new cars and then just trading them over. Friend of mine told me. I don't even know what kinda car they gave me :drool:

Yes, it is not about the money/credit issue.....I would gladly accept 1000 credits for my "race modified Vette" as stated....
Just an option to SELL some of these fabulous prize cars would be nice.

PS: I still haven't tried gifting any to my second account yet....:guilty: Will try this this arvo. :)

Well, I personally enjoy the M3, but I just don't see myself using it at the moment while my FGT is grinding B-Spec. So I saw that he just got the game and I gifted the car to him to make his life easier. It would be nice if he were to return it to me at a later date complete with some mods on it after he's gotten his treads on the tarmac and some cars in his garage.

I'm not counting on it, though. ;)
 
I agree that it's stupid you can't sell those cars.

What Forza 3 did was all the prize cars you got from getting up levels only selled for 100 credits if you did not modify them.

I think its mainly the premium race cars, having said that it let me sell my evo 230r, confused.com:confused:
 
Yea I got stuvck with a ruddy 61 Buick. Brick more like! Still I souped it to 600+ HP and got a trophy for a rollover! That was unexpected!
 
It cracks me up that people get so upset about how someone else chooses to get enjoyment out of a $60 plastic disc they paid for. And god forbid we complain about something that takes away some enjoyment of the game. How dare we not like it the way it is?

Agreed 100%, they are already screwing us with a resale value but then to not be able to sell a car is dumb. I don't want multiple cars and the cars that i used and now don't want any more I wanna sell, even if it is for a small amount of money. The car is doing nothing but collecting dust in my garage.

Somehow I won two of Leno's tank cars. I'll never use them and I'd like to sell them. They aren't fun to drive either. But if you buy a new one it's like 3 million. I don't get it either. LOL.

Seems to be that if the car's original purchase price from the dealer is above or equal to 500k the game does not let you sell the car back to the game, only 'remove from garage'.
 
I have downloaded all recent updates for GT5. I just purchased the DLC pack to access the Gran Tursimo 'Touring Cars'. I was given a bonus Racing Kart 125 SPL. I want to get rid of this car but I get the 'Warning, Car cannot be sold message'. I can sell/remove all the other cars in my garage but not this kart.

If anyone could explain how i can get rid of this kart that would be amazing.

same reason you cant sell it dlc/update celebratetion. Some times I throw my controler at my ps3 because of this
P.s.how do you do gtplanet(not :gtplanet: )with flag and the head bashing against the wall?(how does it not hurt?)
