This game was worth the 60 bucks

Is this thread meant to be a discussion or a statement?

Anyways, in my opinion, the time it takes to complete a game has little to do with how much it's worth. GT5 is clearly an incomplete game, and although we got many patches to fix it, it's only worth half of it's value (well, now it's gone platinum)...

hmmmmm

Definitely worth 60 unless someones a cheapskate

Let me see you do some hardwork.

people get paid $60 bucks to cut grass let alone recreate a simulation

Id say Ive gotten my money out of the game. I've logged many hours playing GT5 since release and still play it and will continue to play it for a while. Compared to another game I bought, I played through it once (about 20hrs of game play) and have never tought about it since.

Lol well if this game is the " pinnacle" of incomplete like you make it seem saying it 50%. every other game ive played would be 20% complete at release because I have yet to pplay a game ive log this many hours in besides MW2 online
In other words its the most complete incomplete game ive ever played
Jesus people we let you have your complaints threads all day
let people who actually enjoy the game talk about it for once without your righteous meanings of what a game should be

That is all :)

I paid 120 for it (in Argentina)
Yay!

But worth it, in fact I has purchased the PS3 to play GT5...

EDIT: 120 and was the "std" edition without nothing else out of the manual and BR disc

Any game that'll last you two month is worth it.
(COD, BFBC2, Skate, UC2, MGS4, LBP)

A game that will last half a year and not anywhere near bored of it.. priceless
GT5

I've probably spend more on the electric bill for my TV, wheel, and PS3 then I spent on the GT5 disk.

I'm approaching 500 hours of playing time on it for A-Spec alone.

Value to me is in how much I enjoy playing the game plus time I get out of it. GT5 was well worth the $100 I spent on it. I may even look for a Signature Edition when I get to Germany next summer.

Many other games come and go for me. But I always go back to GT5.

Best money I ever spent on a game. Lasted me almost a year now.

👍

i payed $130 AUD (collectors edition) on release and it's still the only game I really play. Considering I shelled out $80 for dirt 3 and $75 for shift 2 (both of which stayed in the console < a week) I'd definitely say it's worth it. Even when you add in the cost of my DFP, power, Internet, snacks, drinks....

I paid 35 bucks on craigslist and I've defiantly gotten my money out of it. And all the free updates and seasonal make that deal even better, sure it has it's flaws but the good outweighs the bad by a mile.

Same here.

With all the threads bashing the game it's nice to see something positive for once. :tup

I've done something on GT5 (practice, racing, photo mode) probably 90% of the days since it came out In the first 120 days I played on 116 of them. I'd say I got my money's worth. :)

After the game, 2 wheels, a frame and seat. I am in it for a bit more than $60.00.......worth every penny.

Trolls write in any color.

Anyway, I kinda have to agree with Zed and feel that GT5 wasn't as much of a complete package, in comparison to GT4.

But only this game, MGS4, and Netflix keep on making me fire up my PS3 everyday.

GT5 was worth every penny for me anyway. Sure it is a flawed, unfinished game but it has magic which other games cannot deliver. Driving around the Nurburgring at early morning in a Ford mkIV in cockpit view using no aids and a dfgt is just epic.

Isn't it amazing how one almost automatically becomes a troll for having an opinion which is different from the majority of posters in a thread? And for the guy who stated that trolls write in Blue, that statement doesn't even warrant a proper response from me :dunce:

GT5 is the only game I play on my PS3, nothing more enjoyable than taking out any premium car around the Nordschleife. With my G27 now set up, the game is a whole new experience.

But compared to GT4, the game is a bit of a ripoff (in my opinion). It's good that we are getting free patches to correct the issues that shouldn't have been in the game in the first place. I feel as though there is so little left to do apart from the seasonals, and although I still play the game around one time per day, I don't manage to play for more than 1 hour, since it feels like I'm simply doing the same thing over again.

For the amount I paid for this game, I'd say 75% of that amount goes to the Apex book alone.

And before anyone starts referring to me as a whiner or a troll, re-read the second paragraph, or the text highlighted in bold

Paid $100 three months before the game came out! Would've only been two, but then right at the last moment - delay! lol

So I was a little picky about the game for some time, cause usually I wouldn't spend $100 on anything having to do with a PS3. But the book is good, the model car is quality, the key chain is neat, and then the game has been in my PS3 nearly since release. Got my Stealth McLaren and Nascar, I'm enjoying the Chromeline cars... money well spent.

Payed $95 AUD at release for the STD ED, and recently traded it in (my first ever trade in btw). Not to worry, I only traded it in towards the collectors edition, bringing that one down to $32. And Im still playing it, and dont see myself stopping anytime soon :D

I traded in my PSP and GT PSP to purchase most of the collectors edition. I actually didn't have to spend any cash which was pretty sweet. Actually I got a little bit more money back and used that to pre-order Cataclysm. One of the best days I've had at gamestop to date.
