The 2004 Mclaren-Benz SLR is one of the most beautiful cars in the world, honestly.

WARNING: (HIGH RESOLUTION.) :D

Mhhh looks like a strange crossing between a Ferrari 550 and the Batmobile. :D

Not really my taste, less would've been more.

its very different will take awhile to get used to it

Is $500,000 enough money for ya?

This is the new Mercedes SLR McLaren -- Mercedes' answer to the Modena, 911 and Murcielago. It tops out at 205mph with a 0-60 time of 3.8. If recall, the lines and design are compliments of McLaren, while the engine is all AMG.

No, audi probably wouldnt build me the car of my dreams for 500 grand. Id most likly need a few million more dollars. But there is always a hope ill somehow recieve this car as a gift and some rich geezer will want to purchase it for a decent 7 figure number.

But really what id want is a mid engine Quattro Coupe (like the one audi was prototyping when group b was shut down then they subsequently withdrew from WRC with Ford). Think a normal Sport Quattro with no rear seats, and and engine where they used to be, the 2.1L is great, but id have to be in the 20v version and it would be better if a larger one would be produced 2.5-3.0 with a turbo, the V6 2.7t could also do it, and is probably a better engine, but there is just something about that L5 that i love. Id take the entire body and make it a bit slimmer, less straight up and maybe curve out some of the corners, maybe get a lower Coefficient of Friction and lower the hood a bit to make sure you knew it was mid engined, also the wheel wells would be rounded out instead of the box on it and id make sure the rear one was not lower than the front, if anything a little higher to give it an agressive tilt look (this is why the coupe GT's always looks sagged in the back). The Frame would be an all aluminium space frame like the A8L as would the engine block(maybe id take a 4.2t V8 after all :)). Top it off with Recaro Racings seats in the front with driver and passenger harness. Probably run 17-18 wheels and the largest brakes that would fit. Id request the quattro system and suspension be as light as possible, while still rataining full locking differentials (open front, LSD locking rear[dont know what type is used, isnt the torsen, is it?], "torsen" center, locking), something that can mechanicaly swing power to where its needed, as little electronics as possible, which is why asm would be there too, its 100% mehcanical, so long as i could turn it off. It would have to have a big heavy duty clutch and could use the new audi sequential if that tranny could handle a decent amount of power(i know it has problems with high torque at the moment, but i dont know where that number is). So if that isnt sorted out then a standard 6 speed sequential with paddle shifters. Fully independant suspension etc etc. Id look for a final weight to be around 2500-2700 pounds curb and power maybe around 300-400 with a decent torque curve.

But that is just me.

what you talking bout willis! That thing is Beatuiful, have you ever seen a sport quattro? (lol thought he was talking about my post, yea that Mercedes is ugly, as i said earlier)

Another reason why I hate Mercedes. That is hideous. The only thing I like about Mercedes is the Mclaren F1 motor.

Yeah - the thing is completely ugly. I mean, it literally looks horrible.

Amen M5. That thing is just weird :odd: Exhaust pipes near the front tyre. It almost looks like they tryed copying the JGTC supras.

 You're so stupid.

Anyway, have the exhaust pipes in the side would be illegal in most places wouldn't it? I heard they were illegal for road use here, but not 100% sure on that...it would probably have to do with cars being on the side getting damaged I think.

I'm not sure what the laws are in Australia, but the 2000 Cobra R and the early Viper GTS had side exhaust.

Not directly behind the front wheel, though.

As always, I disagree with the majority!

While I usually dislike Benz products, that car is pretty damn sweet. If I wasn't 6'5" and 380 pounds, I'd take one in a second.

I'm waiting for the new 2004 Chrysler 300C, a bid nasty black "family" car that looks like something the Russian Mafia would drive. And a big ol' boy like myself can actually fit into it too!

There is one on its way to New Zealand. I can't wait to see it in person. Many times pictures don't do them justice.
Take the 350Z. They look pretty good on paper but up close an inperson they look cheaply made.

A lot of F1 technology has went into this car. Carbon fiber has been used all over the car. It reminds me of the Vertigo Race car in GT3. It seems to have very simular lines.
