No, audi probably wouldnt build me the car of my dreams for 500 grand. Id most likly need a few million more dollars. But there is always a hope ill somehow recieve this car as a gift and some rich geezer will want to purchase it for a decent 7 figure number.
But really what id want is a mid engine Quattro Coupe (like the one audi was prototyping when group b was shut down then they subsequently withdrew from WRC with Ford). Think a normal Sport Quattro with no rear seats, and and engine where they used to be, the 2.1L is great, but id have to be in the 20v version and it would be better if a larger one would be produced 2.5-3.0 with a turbo, the V6 2.7t could also do it, and is probably a better engine, but there is just something about that L5 that i love. Id take the entire body and make it a bit slimmer, less straight up and maybe curve out some of the corners, maybe get a lower Coefficient of Friction and lower the hood a bit to make sure you knew it was mid engined, also the wheel wells would be rounded out instead of the box on it and id make sure the rear one was not lower than the front, if anything a little higher to give it an agressive tilt look (this is why the coupe GT's always looks sagged in the back). The Frame would be an all aluminium space frame like the A8L as would the engine block(maybe id take a 4.2t V8 after all

). Top it off with Recaro Racings seats in the front with driver and passenger harness. Probably run 17-18 wheels and the largest brakes that would fit. Id request the quattro system and suspension be as light as possible, while still rataining full locking differentials (open front, LSD locking rear[dont know what type is used, isnt the torsen, is it?], "torsen" center, locking), something that can mechanicaly swing power to where its needed, as little electronics as possible, which is why asm would be there too, its 100% mehcanical, so long as i could turn it off. It would have to have a big heavy duty clutch and could use the new audi sequential if that tranny could handle a decent amount of power(i know it has problems with high torque at the moment, but i dont know where that number is). So if that isnt sorted out then a standard 6 speed sequential with paddle shifters. Fully independant suspension etc etc. Id look for a final weight to be around 2500-2700 pounds curb and power maybe around 300-400 with a decent torque curve.
But that is just me.
