Now I'm thinking...how hard would it be to make that into a go-cart, add a motor and wheels and you've got an awsome cart right there...

It has even got seatbelts (or whatever they are called.)

Very useful, if you forget the last corner at Laguna, and don't want to hit your head at the monitor... :haha:

I was just browsing the site, and checked out some of the specs:

Quote:
Real Feel:
Each Hyper Stimulator is built to the same engineering standards as a real race car.
The steering wheel turns 380 degrees lock to lock, and has adjustable steering weight.
The throttle has a long smooth action, while the brake pedal action is short and progressive. We call this 'REAL FEEL'
Gear changes are made with left and right stainless steel gear toggles. Clutchless gear changes so fast you won't see the fingers leave the hands.

This sounds a bit painful.... :D

I've run GP2 in one of those things (the maker's a former Australian F3 champ, and is based in Melbourne, if memory serves) and they are v e r y cool indeed.

Why would you buy that? A good old controller works just as good for me

I hate stuff like that. I just takes up space and costs way to much money

I have sat in a couple - the manufacturer is based in Australia. They're pretty impressive.

This gives a good impression - they're not much longer than you are!!

Controller works better for me...I've had wheels and nothing beats the controller.

Well, I think I covered this point in that thread I ran awhile ago about how you approach GT3 - as a game, or as a driving simulator.

I think the wheel (particularly with force-feedback) really opens up another dimension in the game in terms of realism and feel - I will happily confess that I do severely suck with the DS2 though.

I think the same applies with PC racing games - running GP3, Grand Prix Legends or Colin McRae 2 with the keyboard instead of the wheel, you miss a lot.

The Hyperstimulator is more aimed at the PC market than consoles, although I have seen them set up with PS2s running GT3 and the GT Force wheel.

well, I used a Mad Crapz wheel on GT2 back in the day, and while it was fun, it kept cutting out and crapping up. Now, it's in pieces in my basement cause I tried to fix the junk so that it would work the right way, and then I just never felt like wasting time on a lost cause.

Curious - I had a Madcatz up until I got the Logitech wheel. It did play up when I initially got the original GT, but that was due to worn insulation on the wires inside the wheel, which the local distributer was kind enough to fix for free (and they cleaned up the wheel and replaced the elastic straps that gave the wheel weighting), other than that, never had a problem - it's now doing sterling service for my brother and his two boys.

Yeah, but they have finally seen the light.
If you click at "rapide" in the menu, it will get you to a GRAN TURISMO model of the seat.

No picture yet though

On the picture i posted, you'll see a small bottle marked "fluid" just below the "cup holder". That fluid bottle is actually a drinking bottle - and like vat man said, you'll have to use a tube. :D

Waay too much..

It depends on what model you want. Click on the model you want to wiew in the menu, and a list of all the parts shows in the right.

For example, if you click "1000 kits" it will bring up a list which shows you these prices in bright red numbers: US 779 - Canada 1095 - Euro 690 - Australia 795....

But you can get a custom model only with the things you want on it.
