I think this is better than driving your own cars, a good tuner has an unfair advantage against the ones who are clueless about it, in fact, "borrowing" PD's cars is easier to spot skilled drivers than good tunes

Tuned or untuned sees the same names at the top of the leaderboard. I haven't been there for some time but if you go to the TT and Seasonal section, you'll find some of the leaders will probably be posting their tunes if you want them.

People do whatever they like to cars in real life. Why is it so different with a video game? In real life they set up regulations in motorsport so certain things can not be done to even the playing field. Why can this not be done in a video game? Yeah, some people ruin it with the 100,000 hp cars, but if the idea of hybriding was accepted instead of stifled, then you would not run into these issues. It is like real life in one aspect though, and that is we cater to the lowest common denominator. A few people bitch and you have to do something. It's sad. If you don't like a certain aspect, set the regulations so that specific parameter can not be exceeded and shut the **** up.

The man has a point. This is all on PD. If they were smart and had one guy, just one guy!!!! at PD keeping an eye on GTP, they'd be right up to date as to what is happening with the game and what the issues are, including the re-emergence of hybriding online. They could easily design an HP/Weight restriction and avoid all this baloney but they stick to PP. Either they aren't aware that hybriding is back which is unacceptable, or they are aware and chose not to set up the TT to avoid this mess, also unacceptable. Either way it rests with PD.

Just look at the usernames the same guy (presumably) has given himself. They're all a direct poke at PD in some way.
 
I think the idea of modding cars outside of the tools that PD offer is silly but to each their own. The thing I hate is opening the lobby list now and seeing nothing but "HaCk CaR TrAdE!!!!!" over and over again.

:yuck: I hate these lobbies. This might be a little bit of GTP-elitism, but non-GTP run lobbies and teams can be so idiotic! I would have liked it if only GTP-ers could have had hybrids only because these morons that have hacked cars don't know how to make good hybrids. They only make obnoxious-HP cars and have rude attitudes.

Anyone notice that the leader board is dominated by players with this same car, and they all happen to be Australian? Not trying to pick any fights or anything. I just noticed that it's probably a group of friends doing this together.
 
Wow, this actually made me rage. I honestly dont see what hes going to achieve by doing this.

PD cannot console bann him. They alone do not have the authority to do so. They can only profile bann.

I'm pretty sure they could console ban. As I have been console banned in COD Black OPs. Every console has a id# kinda like a serial#.
After I was banned it clearly showed on my screen YOU HAVE BEEN PERMANENT CONSOLE BANNED every time I would try to log in on their servers. I called Sony and they said I was in good standings with them and nothing could be done about it on their end.

Luckily I just used my warranty at game stop and got a new console and was able to play again but under a different PSN name. So banning a individuals console/PSN name from the servers is completely possible.

Edit:
Yes I did try to use the same console with a different PSN name and it wouldn't work and had the same YOU HAVE BEEN PERMANENTLY CONSOLE BANNED message.

Perhaps you may be mistaken in the wording. Also, from what I have learned from e-mailing and talking to Sony Reps myself, only Sony has the authority to ban your console.
 
Damn that list is really intense on things. Team killing once = account ban? Cutting a corner (cheating) in an online race = ban?

It was two years ago so memory could be a little fuzzy. I do remember an error code when trying to log in on banned PSN name. But when you try under a different PSN name on the same console. you will defiantly see the permanent console ban message. I took pictures and emailed them to Sony, maybe its not the way it is now.

I even called Activision, they wouldn't even tell me why I was banned. I recorded the conversation and even emailed them the pictures of the message. I'm pretty sure I don't have pictures or recorded message anymore but I will check.

Does anyone know if old emails are archived and if so how could I retrieve them.

Anyways the point is from my personal experience. Yes a console can be banned from a developers servers without Sonys consent.

Well, that is not how it was told to me by Sony themselves about 3 weeks ago. They told me that only they can ban you from online play. The game company has to go through them first then they do the investigating and decide on whether to ban or not. Now, that is just information given to me from Sony, not my words. I'm just going by what they have told me. 👍
 
It's a shame that some people do that just to make a point, But the way he did it is quite ironic. He doesn't like hybrids but he makes one to win a TT, He then taunts PD with the PSN('s) he's using. If PD doesn't update the game But erases the hacked times and sends the hacker a " :dunce:thanks for trying award " then I'll call that a victory;)
