How Many Laps Should We do on the Road Circuits?

Next Thursday (GMT) is a once in a week time opportunity :P. For the whole day there will be a server containing nonstop Nascar Action!! This is just to tell you that its going on, there's no need to sign up, just arrive and drive. With Prizes at the end of the day. We'd also like to say that theres no need to stay for the whole day just turn up for some good clean fun :) But obviously if you only come for one race your not going to win the prize :P

Tracks, we will be doing mostly Daytona but will also do Indy, the road courses and Laguna Seca.

This brings us on to the rules which are very simple:
-Keep it clean, but be aware when in close proximity to other drivers.

-All 2010 Nascars are allowed and even if you don't own one of these beasts the recommended list has 2 to choose from :)

Strategy, teaming up is a good idea as you can draft off each other and get those extra mph!! The races are long enough for fuel and tyre pit stops to be required so choose your strategy wisely.

Organisation, the races will be 40 laps each with a quick 10minute break in between to qualify. The points system is as follows:
-1st 10 Points
-2nd 8 Points
-3rd 6 Points
-4th 5 Points
-5th 4 "
-6th 3 "
-7th 2 "
-8th 1 "

At the end of the day well total up the points and see whose won, we will then contact the top 3 who will be able to choose their prize as per the regulations below:

-1st Any car that costs 1,000,000c or below

-2nd Any car that costs 750,000c or below

-3rd Any car that costs 500,000c or below

That's everything so drop in for one race or even the whole day and win yourself a new car. The Server Will be called "Nascar Day CLean" and will be hosted by twyb. Thanks for looking and we hope you join us on Thursday and help make it an exciting day :)


The Results are In :
-1st Position goes to CageRedTiger and wins him/herself a car worth 1,000,000c or less
-2nd Position goes to FENNAH6 and wins him/herself a car worth 750,000c or less
-3rd Position goes to GTP_akmuq and wins a car worth 500,000c or less

That is a shot of GT5 NASCAR from 2009, teh cars are different and some are not even in game.

Good hope you can make it :) One of the main reasons its good is because there's very little crashing unlike the majority of online racing.
 
Just to let you know that we've decided on 25 laps for the road courses, as this includes fuel stops. Information on Laguna Seca to Follow.

You can look for the name in the list of servers or you can enter the code into the "specify room code" option located next to the "create new button" all within the online lounge section :)
 
Ah, thank you very much. Well since I have to do stuff during the day how long do you plan to have the room up since I'm on the U.S. west coast with PST. I dont want to come too late and not be able to enjoy the racing.

well have the room up until about 9:30pm GMT so by our calculations around 2pm your time
but it might be open a little later than that.
 
I hope when i get back home that this is still going on. I want try a few laps with a Nascar. Never raced one before. Shame on me.
 
Was there for two races, one were someone crashed me and I finished 7th or 8th, the second one, someone crashed me and I was 13th before the pits but recovered to 3rd and it was almost 2nd put Furi and someone else were having a battle and I couldn't get round them soon enough. Ah well.:)

Ahhh i know its luck of the draw whether your the one that gets taken out or not iv'e been taken out a fair few times already today. Apart from the catastrophic crashes that occasionally occur i feel its gone quite well, we've had some pretty intense finishes, and it was me you almost caught on the second race i was getting nervous because i could see you coming up behind me but i just made it across the line in 2nd. :)
