I'm currently having a lot of trouble with the Pro FF Challenge. Using my Integra, I won the first race easily, the second after retuning, but now, Cote d'Azur is giving me all kinds of fits. I hate this course. Hate it. And I hated it before this latest trouble.

Screw your Integra for Cote d'Azur. Go with something with a smaller wheelbase, like a Mini. You don't need that much power since the AI is horrible at driving on the twisty circuits and is easily beat. You want a FF car with a smaller wheelbase and less power (so it doesn't understeer as much). Stay smooth, coast into corners using little brake and slowly apply throttle post apex.

Alot of people hate Cote'd Azur (and SS11) because they don't take the time to learn how to drive in the game. Both circuits are very rewarding if you stick to them and learn cornering techniques.

Stick with it, you'll get it.

Hey, JB, the VW Cup Car, like the one you have to compete against in Pro FF/Cote D'azur, is a short base, try that after you've tried the Mini, against the VW Cup Car on the starting grid,.... basically, it all comes down to your driving skills....! 👍
Let us know what and how you did.... :nervous: Good luck! 👍

I just whipped the AI by + 40 seconds at Cote d'Azur Pro FWD race in a 350 bhp Accord type R.
This car had no understeer and would drift around the last hairpen bend with ease.
It was faster around here than my fully tuned Mini and Spoon Civic type R.
I lowered it to about 96 all round, increased springs front and back with back harder than front by about 1 KG,
Set camber 4F / 2B.
Set Sway bay 1 harder on back left front as is.
Bracks 20 front 16 back.
Run on T2 front T3 back.
Left toe at 0,0.
Raised auto set on gears up 3 notches (which was probably 1 too many) meant I could use second at the chicane.

👍 That's why it's called: Type R, coz after a win, it makes you say: RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Have you tried the Alfa Romeo @386/447Hp??? 👍
Now, try the Xsara, stock, just tune the suspension 👍 pit at end of lap 8 and at the end, you'll have time for a ....1'20+...Zzzzzzzzzzwaiting for the VW Cup Car to finish. :D

Thanks for the tips, guys. I'll try some of the other car options. While my driving's not the best, I can hold my own with the AI in most situations. The problem here is that I'm getting killed on the straightaways, and despite hours of tweaking, I can't get the Integra to have any quickness. I know it's me, and I'll keep tinkering til I get it. Think I'll pass, though, on the two memory card approach. I was getting very frustrated early in the game while on the Beginner League and even into the Amatuer, but if the game was easy, where would be the fun in overcoming the challenges.

I remember doing the Zonda races. To be quite honest the zonda c12s at full power 1100+ bhp was quite a beast, but still quite good around a track. My settings were made to give the car corner entry understeer and mid corner power oversteer. Both were easily controlable with a lil delicate practice, with the controller ofcourse. Then you just left the others in the dust on the straights. One of my bros really likes the C12s so he was fanatic about the races.

Who else here found the last S license test the GT1 on Monte to be stupendously easy, i think i beat that time by 3 secs almost.

The hardest race, there really isnt any for me, I take a technical approach to this game and races lines etc. Then its not that hard, but still requires a little practice.

The hardest test however, is that F@$%&$ Penzoil GTR test on Midfield, an S license test. I've tried it on test and run with a diff king of R34 GTR and gotten well below 1:10, I dunno what kind of messed up settings they give u but i just get way to frustrated on the Test. Still have bout 3 silvers to convert to Golds then its all done.

Then help a brother out. I really want to pass that ****, its strating to piss me off. Im thinking the way to do it is to brake extremely late and drift/coast technique through the corners applying power post apex. I lose a **** load of time and the hair pin.

Fastest sector times ive gotte T1-28.64x and T2-43.68x, and then I get mad wheel spin even when I try to ease into the accel (maybe i should try harder).

Hi Evo! You must be really messing up....if you brake late, most likely you will slide/spin. Instead of braking hard on any point, try gently releasing the gas a little and tapping the brakes, rather than press hard.
You probably lose most of the time at the hairpin, prior to the last tunnel?? It's very... slippery, therefore, as you reach there, release the gas some and use 2nd gear to gently make the turn and gently on the gas or you will spin, change to 3rd and if you hear the engine underevving, change back to 2nd and again to 3rd. It's a quick 2nd/3rd/2nd/3rd process that will get you through that corner quicker!
Use the "rumble strips to cut corners! Try not to get frustrated, or you will make mistakes, just like i did :scared: Watch the Demo a few times and pay attention to cornering/speed/gears. Good luck! 👍

If you can get a 43.6 at split 2, gold should be well within your reach. Just keep it smooth at the hairpin, tap-tapping the throttle if necessary. Just be really smooth at the hairpin.

This test you can gain a heap of time by changing up early at about 6500 rpm. This Skyline pulls harder at lower RPM in higher gears than running each gear out to 500 rpm into the red zone.
S8 NTSC gold pass time is the PAL silver time.

Sunday Cup was easily the most challenging, the courses, the competitors, the adrenaline.... i'm only joking. I'm in a rut at the moment in GT3, the tough races for me(because i dont have a super car or a s class licence) are the first supercar races in Amatuer, i think it the german deut...something and the japan GT...or something(geez am i a fountain of knowledge or what).

If you dont know which races i mean i dont blame you :dopey:

First event you mention: German Touring Car Challange. Amateur. Winnable in stock Mercedes CLK touring car or the stock Opel touring cars and easy win in a Rally Imprezza with stage 2 turbo upgrade.

Second event you mention : All Japanese GT Championship. Winnable in stock JGTC car, with hard race on test track with stock cars.

Hi Travi & g'day! :D
You don't need the S licence for those races, you need A & IB license and no Supercar needed. Wich cars do you have? Did you win all the "Prize Cars" in "Beginner League"? If so, try the Lancer, Skyline or even the Camaro SS. Do you know how to use the car's Settings? If you practice a little and just learn to...keep up.. a few times, then...overtake them at the last lap 👍 If you still have a hard time,...do you have the IA license? If yes, do the Super Speed Way Endurance Race, it's a boring one hour race, but easy win and you get a nice "Prize Car" at the end and 200.000cr., use the Camaro SS here and if you buy T2 tires, no need to pit as often, they will turn red, but... just keep going!! Good luck! :tup:Let us know what/how you did... :nervous:

Hi again, Trevi. On the previous post, i gave you the wrong suggestions regarding wich car to use in the German Challenge. This is a hard race and looking at my notes, i used the Mercedes CLK Touring Car, wich i'd won as Prize Car, after winning the 3 Pro races of "Legend Of Silver Arrow", that you can win with a tuned up Mercedes CLK, adding some Upgrades, HP etc... and some good settings. If you find it easier to do the Pro Altezza races, you'll get a nice Altezza LM Race Car as a Prize and you can then use that to beat the German Challenge.
Check out the Prize Car List, it will help you decide wich races to do first. 👍
