So, GT 6 is the first installment of the Gran Turismo series that I have played since probably GT 2. But it was so long ago it could have possibly been the first one...

However I'm not new to console racing. I have been an avid fan of The Forza Series (I know here comes the hate lol) but it isn't because I disliked GT, its just because I had an XBOX and Turn 10 produces a well balanced game for that console along with the usual irritations from a console sim racer. Nothing is perfect.

Now with that out of the way, the reason I recently made the switch is because Turn 10 basically stopped updating events and dlc on 4 now that Forza 5 (which i read is terrible) is out on the new console. And I feel like the playstation 4 is a better bargain then the xbox one which I will probably wait until next year to purchase.

My Thoughts on GT 6...

Right off the bat, I found that the physics are great! Tire models are amazing. I can't say weather its the same as what its been but either way, it works well.

Selection of cars is unbelievable... however the standard cars are a little bland.

I love how if you adjust your cars suspension/camber you see the change in your garage. Not just in game. That is a huge issue with forza 4.

Parts garage is ok... but I dont like that you can't equip certain cars with turbos which you can in the real world. It would be a huge additional power boost. I want turbos on a 370z, not a supercharger.

Paint shop is terrible, very stupid you can only choose colors you have purchased on cars. And you have to pay for it. That's Crazy Talk!

People say the grind is terrible. Idk, its a sim racer, thats what you do. Grind. Though a little more pay out from races would be nice.

All aspects of sound are terrible, but that is a known fact and I knew that before I bought the game.

So I will button it up here since I'm getting long winded. I think overall its a great game. Physics are great and the way you can fly through the menus is awesome! I feel like it lacks a little in graphics but makes it up in the extensive car selection! I know I will get many hours of enjoyment out of it and I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves all things cars and racing!

THE ONE REAL IRRITATION:
In any sim racing game you have to be able to rotate your camera around your car so you can see what's is going on around you! I mean 360 degrees of rotation around your car. It does not need to be locked on the rear. And a blind spot light does not do justice! Also it is very displeasing that you take your time and credits to make your car look good and you cant see anything but the back while in game. If you have never played a game with the feature you need to. Once you have it is hard to play a game without it!

This!!! I always wonder the same.... Why this Basic element in a racing game isnt given in GT?
